Rapunzel: Cassandra, maybe you should host your own event for the Goodwill Festival.
Cassandra: Maybe I should—thank you.
Rapunzel: After all, twice as many events means twice as much festival!
Cassandra: I agree! That way everybody wins
Rapunzel: Well then that's settled. I'm glad we could work this disagreement out WITHOUT ARGUING!

Rapunzel, Cassandra, Eugene, Lance and Hook Foot still are in Vardaros. Rapunzel wants to bring the Coronan custom of the Goodwill Festival to Vardaros, but the people of Vardaros don't care about it at all and only see her actions as annoying meddling. When Cassandra proposes some alternative activities to do on the festival and the people of Vardaros react more enthusiastically to those ideas, a rivalry between Cassandra and Rapunzel develops in which they each try to organise the coolest activities.

Meanwhile, Lance and Hook Foot set out to catch a gopher for the festival, but unintendedly catch another creature which is dangerous.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Call-Back: When people of Vardaros boo at Rapunzel, she says that she was booed last year (so she knows she can deal with it). She must be referring to when Monty the shopkeeper booed her in the Season 1 episode "Rapunzel's Enemy".
  • Chained Heat: Eugene's attempt to get Rapunzel and Cass to work together involves chaining them to each other by the ankles.
  • Culture Clash: The whole plot of this episode revolves around the polar differences between Vardaros and Corona; people of Vardaros are more edgy and hardcore, while Coronans are more docile and festive.
  • Epic Fail:
    • Lance and Hook Foot's attempts to hunt a gopher; they've never even seen a gopher in their lives and Lance especially takes the drawing so literally that he grabs a 10-foot Sneezeweasel instead.
    • Later, Lance and Hook Foot are running to come help Vex and Eugene, who are pulling up Quaid by a rope, but instead of helping to pull Quaid up, they manage to fall over the cliff themselves thus making the situation much worse, as Vex and Eugene now have to pull up not just Quaid but Lance and Hook Foot as well.
  • Fish out of Water: Averted with Cassandra. The people of Vardaros are so much like her (hardcore, thrill-seeking, daring), that she instinctively knows what they really want.
  • Ironic Episode Title: The episode's title is a positive spin on the phrase "goodbye and good riddance", but it gets ironic in that Rapunzel's attempt to bring a fun tradition goes wrong, and it doesn't look like the people are going to miss her. In short, the episode's events end up following the meaning of the original phrase the title was based off of.
  • Literal-Minded: Apparently, Eugene's drawing of a gopher was so bad, that Lance interpreted the drawing of the creature far too literally.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: This episode features a whole parade of decisions that go wrong; Lance and Hook Foot don't know what a gopher looks like, and with only Eugene's ugly drawing for a reference, they grab a large Sneezeweasel that wreaks havoc. Eugene chains Cassandra and Rapunzel together in an attempt to make them reconcile, but just then the Sneezeweasel gets on the loose and they have trouble taking out the creature.
  • Oh, Crap!: Rapunzel and Cassandra realize they're screwed when the sneezweasel is about to violently attack and everybody runs away but they can't because their ankles are chained together. They give a panicked expression and say "Oh-oh".
  • Our Manticores Are Spinier: Sneezeweasels are massive, monstrous creatures native to the forest near Vardaros. They are about the size of a lion and just as deadly, with a tail whittled with spikes.
  • Produce Pelting: Some of the people of Vardaros express their annoyance about Rapunzel's festival plans by throwing tomatoes at her.
  • Violence is the Only Option: Because Vardaros is a Wretched Hive compared to Corona's Good Kingdom, the people there respond negatively to Rapunzel's attempts at encouraging goodwill. It is not until Cassandra publicly beats up a man trying to steal their quill do they grab everyone's attention, the people preferring fighting over pacificity. Quaid calls this a win, encouraging Cassandra to help plan the festival.
