A couple find themselves as the new owners of the house of a woman who may not be permanently gone.
Disproportionate Retribution: Idalia, despite having been respectful and understanding of La Doña’s boundaries, is still on the receiving end of the hauntings. Though that could be because Idalia feels more guilty about causing the older woman's death.
Downer Ending: Eric and Idalia are presumably killed by La Doña after losing their minds.
Evil-Detecting Dog: Paco the parrot gets cold easily and even begins begging for someone to not hurt him.
Jumpscare: Idalia gets a nasty one in the middle of the episode when she finds the ghost at her and Eric’s bedside.
Post-Apocalyptic Dog: Discussed with possible deconstruction. When Idalia hopes that Eric’s sister’s dog Paco is still alive, Eric laments it’s unlikely since he was a pampered house pet.
Out-of-Genre Experience: This is the first episode of the franchise to include supernatural elements, being mostly a ghost story.
