Baloo discovers that he is the long-lost thirteenth baron of the Von Bruinwald family, and as such, is the heir to their fortune. When Baloo believes the mansion is cursed, Rebecca visits to find out the truth.

This episode provides examples of:

  • 13 Is Unlucky: It is revealed in this episode that Baloo is the 13th successor to the Bruinwald family and the latest heir to the family castle. However, ever since he stayed there, there had been many attempts at his life by the ones who would inherit the estate once all the Bruinwalds are gone. It's slightly averted since Baloo managed to survive unlike his predecessors, but then played straight again since he also loses the castle due to the family's back tax delinquency and it is repossessed to pay it all off. To add insult to injury, he still owes $1.89.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Near the end fo the episode, Baloo and Rebecca arrest Hans and Helga on charges of attempted murder and bad cooking.
  • Bad Ol' Badger: Hans is a badger who teams up with an opossum named Helga to murder the Von Bruinwalds so they could claim their inheritance.
  • Cooked to Death: Hans and Helga attempt to eliminate Rebecca by tying her to a spit above an absurdly deep fire pit. She gets rescued after becoming no worse than uncomfortably warm.
  • Disguised in Drag: In a Shout-Out to a similar scene from The Jungle Book (1967), this episode begins with Baloo dressed like a woman so he can participate in a jam session with Louie.
  • A Fool and His New Money Are Soon Parted: Baloo inherits a mansion in this episode, and Hans and Helga try to kill him so they can inherit it for themselves. The mansion gets repossessed at the end.
  • Furniture Blockade: When Hans and Helga try to kill Baloo, he hides in his bedroom and places various furniture over the door. Hans and Helga manage to make their way in with a crowbar.
  • Girls with Moustaches: Rebecca wears a false moustache when she disguises herself as an undertaker to trick Hans and Helga into thinking that Baloo is dead.
  • Harmless Electrocution: When Baloo tries to escape from his mansion, Helga turns on the electric fence. Baloo gets electrocuted and his nose glows red, but he is still alive.
  • He Knows Too Much: Rebecca finds out the reason behind the mysterious deaths of the castle’s previous owners was not a curse, but were murders committed by the servants and their descendants in order to claim the inheritance. Unfortunately, Rebecca gets caught listening in by the latest servants and decide to kill her along with Baloo.
  • Impoverished Patrician: Baloo discovers that he's the heir to the Von Bruinwald Barony, which comes with a mansion, lands...and incredible debt.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: An amusing literal example; paranoid about inheriting a bad-luck curse, Baloo protects himself with medieval armor. This later becomes pivotal in saving Rebecca after she learns the truth behind the supposed curse.
  • Prestige Peril: In this episode, work-a-day pilot Baloo learns that he's the last survivor of the Bruinwald bloodline, and thus, heir to a barony. Suddenly, Baloo is living large, and loving it. However, Baloo is shown portraits of his predecessors, each of whom died under peculiar circumstances. It's revealed that the Bruinwalds were all murdered by the one who would have stewardship of the barony in the absence of any Bruinwald.
  • Properly Paranoid: Someone is clearly trying to kill Baloo after he's inherited a vast mansion and fortune so he asks Rebecca and Wildcat to spend the night at his place for safety. Rebecca doesn't believe Baloo until she hears his screaming and, intending to give him shit for imagining things, is horrified when she enters the room and finds Baloo pinned to the wall with arrows and about to be impaled.
  • Running Gag: Wildcat looking for the bathroom in Baloo's mansion. He continues to look for it after the mansion gets repossessed.
  • Something We Forgot: At the end of the episode, the mansion gets repossessed, and when Baloo and Rebecca have lunch, they realize they left Wildcat behind at the mansion (who is still looking for the bathroom at that point).
  • Taxman Takes the Winnings: Baloo stands to inherit a ton of money from a distant relative, while the servants try to kill him. After he survives the night, all the money is lost due to the "real family curse" - decades of unpaid land taxes.
  • Threatening Shark: One of the ways that Hans and Helga try killing Baloo so they can inherit his mansion is by putting a shark in his pool when he calls Rebecca about trying to buy the Sea Duck back from her.
