"Black Friday"
The employees gear up for Black Friday sales even as they all come down food poisoning. Amy has a pregnancy scare, Cheyenne and Mateo start taking bribes from Black Friday customers, and Garrett avoids using the register.
- 90% of Your Brain: Tate is working on a screenplay about a pharmacist who invents a pill that lets you use all of your brain.Tate: It's inspired by Limitless.
- Dissonant Serenity: Glenn is high on anti-anxiety meds, so his profane tirade is said with his usual peppiness. He doesn't even know he said it, claiming to have blacked out.
- Everyone Has Standards: By his own admission, Garret is lazy and hates his job, but he refuses to do any less than the bare minimum.
- Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: Early on, Amy feels sick, which is odd, as she never gets sick usually. It's almost like when... cue dash to the pharmacy for a test. (As it turns out, though, she's not pregnant — she has food poisoning, as does everyone else in the store, courtesy of the potluck dinner they all had before opening.)
- Freudian Slip: Out of tiredness, Amy accidentally tells Adam that she's not happy instead of not pregnant.
- Retail Riot: As soon as Cloud 9 opening hours begin, the crowd breaks down the door and starts grabbing things, which sets the tone for the rest of the episode.
- Rousing Speech: Jonah tries one to motivate the workers when they all start fighting, but it doesn't work — it's Glenn dropping a Cluster F-Bomb that shuts them up. Garrett later gives one where he announces he's half-assing it but at least not quitting, which motivates everyone to finish their shifts.
