A new Jailbot model tries to take over Superjail.

"Jailbot 2.0" contains examples of:

  • A Day in the Limelight: Focuses around Jailbot and his would-be replacement, but also spotlights the origins of both Alice and Jared.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Alice becomes annoyed when she believes Jailbot 2.0 has outed her to the Warden, but all the Warden is disturbed about is how her bulge "curves and droops"
  • Continuity Nod: The prison that Alice used to work at appears to be the Rockland County Maximum Security prison from the pilot (the one Jacknife was released from). Of course, some Stock Footage is also used for its establishing shot.
    • The giant gingerbread men from "Superbar" appear in Jared's flashback, though looking a little more wicked in design than they did before.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: One of the cartoons that the Warden watches on Jailbot 2.0 is Richard Mather's "Sawboy Buck" character.
    • Aside from Jared and Fatty, Jean and Turban can be seen among the early inmates that had arrived at Superjail in the first flashback sequence.
  • Funny Background Event: As the Warden's berating Alice and Jared, watch for some flying gremlin creatures outside the window, as well as a huge flock of fairies witnessing the scene.
  • Origins Episode: This episode reveals how Jailbot was made, and how Alice and Jared came to work at Superjail.
  • The Peeping Tom: Alice drills a hole in a wall specifically to watch the inmates shower. Paul isn't very pleased, but rather from noticing the bigger hole that Alice made with her first.
  • Retcon: What you thought you knew about Jailbot (and what Warden claimed) isn't quite the case.
  • Rodents of Unusual Size: Giant cybernetically-enhanced ones inhabit the storage room.
  • Stock Footage: Aside from the shot of the prison from the pilot, the fairies outside the Warden's window were recycled from "Ghosts".
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Fatty is impaled by one of Jailbot 2.0's killing beams, along with Nicky and several other inmates.
  • Unreliable Narrator: The Warden claims Jailbot was with him since the very start of Superjail, but as we see later, that's not quite the case. The Warden even seems embarrassed and awkward once he's confronted by the original Jailbots.
