In the distant past, Susie and her sister live peacefully in the countryside of England. But all that soon changes.
- The Ace: Mildred is a magical prodigy quite literally from birth, levitating blocks mere minutes of being delivered. However, this also comes with Power Incontinence that causes her to inadvertently conjure frogs while casting her magic.
- Didn't Think This Through: Susie and Mildred decide to run off to London to escape their mean caretaker and catch up with their parents before they leave for the Frozen North. Which turns out to be a bad idea, being they have no money and end up getting lost in the big city.
