"Family, Siobhan! If you don't understand that, then fuck off!"
Logan

Sandy and Stewy launch a smear campaign against the Roys by blowing up Logan's involvement in the death of Andrew, the caterer at Shiv's wedding. Worried that this could negatively affect their stand at the upcoming shareholder's meeting, Logan and the kids go to the UK to sway two major shareholders — one is Caroline, the siblings' mother — and to give a personal apology to the young man's family for PR. Rhea is also along for the ride. Shiv, in the meantime, has sent a memo to Logan pitching herself as CEO, and wonders why he has not yet given her a response.

Shiv and Roman get their mother to agree to support Logan in exchange for $20 million and Christmastime spent with her. Logan brings Kendall with him to apologize to the family, and Kendall is shaken by the experience, sneaking back later to slip money in the mailbox. Rhea offers Shiv a job at Pierce to "keep [her] options open", but reports this back to Logan, who accuses Shiv of disloyalty to the family when she questions him about her memo.

Meanwhile, Tom deals with an internal investigation about his involvement in the cruises scandal. He forces Greg to reveal his copies of the destroyed documents and the two burn them, but Greg withholds a few.

Tropes:

  • False Friend: Rhea posits herself as an ally to Shiv, but when Shiv shows interest in the PGM job, she reports this back to Logan who takes it as evidence of Shiv's disloyalty. Kendall himself worries that Rhea is playing them for some reason, and Shiv calls him at episode's end to say the same thing.
  • Kick the Dog: Just as Kendall's on the verge of making a heart-breaking confession regarding the death of the caterer at Shiv's wedding, Caroline tells him how tired she is, making it clear that she doesn't want to hear it.
  • Mood Whiplash: Kendall's a little happy about getting to take Naomi to the zoo. Logan immediately squashes this by saying he has to come along to apologize to the family of the man he accidentally killed.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Kendall washes out a glass at the Dodd's house, wanting to make it look like he was never there at all and not knowing what else to do, when he's always had people to clean up after him before.
  • Prison Rape: When imagining his confession to the authorities, Greg thinks out loud that the officer would say a young, fresh-faced man like him would experience unsavory things in prison.
Greg: Male rape. Rrrrrape...of the male.
  • Scandalgate: Shiv refers to her slip-up at last episode's panel, where she accidentally alluded to her father as a dinosaur, as "dinosaur-gate".
