Lulu has an uniquely white skin tone which made it initially difficult to befriend others.
This episode provides examples of:
- Albinos Are Freaks: For most of the story, Lulu is ostracized and bullied for her albinism.
- Alpha Bitch: Lulu was invited to the party of one, who caused her to nearly drown to death.
- Bully Brutality: Students repeatedly assaulted Lulu, to the point of hospitalization. The Alpha Bitch fits the bill by intentionally shoving her in the pool against her will.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: After Lulu moves back to her hometown in Norway, she finally gets accepted for being albino and befriends her cousin who is also an albino. They named themselves Ghost Girl and Vampire respectively.
- Lack of Empathy: The Alpha Bitch laughs when Lulu drowns in the pool.
