As Doctor Shina struggles with the trauma of her close encounter with a Space Marine during the first contact battle, she makes a startling discovery about the hyperspace ramming incident at Pzob that could change everything...

This short special contains the following tropes:

  • Breather Episode: This short special contains zero action and fight scenes, providing a brief respite from the Second Battle of Axum to provide some insight as to what Dr. Shina has been up to on Coruscant since her last appearance at the end of Season 1.
  • Internal Reveal:
    • Dr. Shina and Bucket (the Clone Trooper assigned to guard her) discover that Palpatine secretly ordered Captain Kraken to hyperspace ram his Venator into the Imperial civilian transport during first contact, thereby making him responsible for starting the new war.
    • Bucket learns about the existence of Order 66 from Dr. Shina, who is aware of it's existence due to being a member of Palpatine's staff and having read all the existing orders.
  • Occam's Razor: Discussed between Dr. Shina and Bucket regarding her theory that Palpatine is responsible for Captain Kraken going crazy at first contact and suicide ramming his ship into an Imperial refugee vessel.
Dr. Shina: And now you know why I need to know. Maybe the ship had a ram feature that Captain Kraken abused. Maybe he was drugged, or replaced by a Separatist infiltrator, or got the order from somewhere else. But the simplest answer is often the correct one...and...and in this case, the simplest explanation is...
  • Properly Paranoid: Dr. Shina doesn't want to inform the Jedi Order of her discovery that Palpatine was responsible for causing the war with the Imperium because she's worried that the Jedi might react poorly and try to arrest the Chancellor without thinking things through, provoking him into activating Order 66 in the process. Considering that this is pretty much exactly what happened in canon when Anakin told Windu that Palpatine was a Sith, her concerns are justified.
