Sando struggles for survival against the Sisters of Battle. Palpatine moves forward with his new plans for the galaxy. Anakin and Khayon continue to sneak through the Luminous Reign. Saphran's past is revealed to Mace Windu.
Major Lazarus and his men return victorious to the Basilica of Salvation where Lazarus is killed by Shadrick during an argument the commissar was having with a Sister of Battle. However, the Basilica's Canoness Superior, Ishtara Ordane, intervenes and resurrects Lazarus as an Imperial Saint.
This episode includes the following tropes:
- Flaunting Your Fleets: We get a scene like this in the episode where we're shown Palpatine's POV as he looks out the window of his flagship, the Prosecutor, to the massive armada that the Republic Navy has gathered in preparation for their counter-invasion of Axum.
- Glowing Eyes of Doom: Sando's POV segment in this episode ends with him, Delta Squad, and some other clone commandos inside a dark building as they face off against the Sisters of Battles, the latter wearing helmets with green visors that glow in the darkness right before they attack the clones.
- Killed Mid-Sentence: Shadrick shoots Major Lazarus dead with a Boltgun to the chest while the major is attempting to talk him down. Fortunately, it doesn't last and he gets revived as a Saint by Ishtara Ordane.Lazarus: Commissar, wait! Please, this has risen far out of han- [shot in the chest]
- Oh, Crap!: Major Lazarus when he realizes that the Sister of Battle he gave orders to is a Legatine Novitiate—only two or three steps below a Sororitas Canoness. Thankfully for Lazarus, she was too impressed by his success and courage in the face of overwhelming odds to punish him for such a breach of protocol and was pushing for him and his soldiers to receive the food, rest, and medical care they deserved.
