Plot
George invites Pat along (in place of Martha who has cooking classes) to a "Mystery Weekend" upstate—Which finds itself turning into a real mystery when the other guests start to vanish under strange circumstances.
Tropes
- Arc Words: "Justice will be done." Written on the news clippings left where each guest disappeared, and later spoken by Peeved to Pat per his motive for taking them all.
- Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Everyone's rooms. George and Pat get black and white respectively, the other six get the standard colors of the color wheel. A pattern in the disappearances becomes tied into this.
- Locked in the Dungeon: Where all the guests end up being taken, and doubling as Peeved's personal "courtroom" with judge's bench.
- Theme Naming: The people involved in the cases of Amanda, Miles, and Sally, when Pat asks about them in search of any common bonds.
- They try the judges:
Miles: Uh, mine's name was Larry.
Sally: Curly.
Amanda: Moe!note- The defense attorneys:
