Tropes that appear in this episode:

  • Bait-and-Switch: When Bond first sees a vision of a woman crying out for her precious "Daisy" who's still in the building, it's initially assumed that Daisy is her daughter. But then it's revealed that she's actually a pug puppy.
  • Butt-Monkey: Franky is roped into being a pretend target to help train Bond as a security dog. And during his segment in the Montage Out, his afro catches on fire while working on his latest invention.
  • Call-Back: Franky yells at Bond for forgetting how he took care of him.
  • Chekhov's Gun: One of Anya's origami works is one shaped like a star. She would give two paper stars to her dad and dog to "reward them" for their hard work during their walk.
  • Childish Pillow Fight: The epilogue shows a scene of Damian and his friends having a pillow fight.
  • Epic Fail: Yor at first makes an adorable paper doll chain using her scissors. But only a few seconds pass before the chain tears apart because of Yor's excessive cutting.
  • Flashback-Montage Realization: After Loid reminds Bond that he has someone special waiting for him at home, Bond thinks back to his wonderful memories with Anya and how much the girl adores him.
  • The Greatest Story Never Told: Loid doesn't stick around to reveal himself to Daisy's owner out of fear that he, and Bond, will end up on the papers for their heroic endeavors. He also doesn't tell his wife and daughter about it, though Anya learns about his heroism via telepathy.
  • Heroic Fire Rescue: Loid and Bond save a puppy from a building on fire.
  • Letting the Air out of the Band: Triumphant music plays when Anya sticks her paper stella to her chest but then dies down when the star falls off.
  • Montage Out: The episode ends with a montage featuring the Spy x Family cast going about their personal affairs before ending on the Forger Family enjoying their personal night in.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Bond trying to prevent his misfortunate visions from coming true only end with them either coming true after all (the boy and the ice cream) or causing more harm than intended (scaring the old man before he's run over).
  • The Nose Knows: Played with. Loid assumes that Bond knew about the burning building, Daisy's peril and the sadistic arsonist based on his sniffer. But in truth, most of his successes are credited to his future seeing abilities.
  • Not So Stoic: The professional and serious Twilight comes close to laughing his heart out when he sees Bond with his fur wet.
  • "Pan Up to the Sky" Ending: The season finale ends with a pan-up from the Forger's home to the evening sky.
  • Pyromaniac: The arsonist who set the apartment building aflame takes sadistic pleasure in burning down buildings. He even cites the screams of despair from his victims to be something he enjoys.
  • Self-Fulfilling Prophecy: Doggo's efforts in trying to save a little boy from losing his ice cream only ends with Iceplatio losing his ice cream when he's surprised by Bond's barking.
  • Stupid Evil: The arsonist sticks around to witness the destruction of the apartment building while taking satisfaction in seeing the suffering of the tenants. The fact that he doesn't consider fleeing the crime scene allows Bond to identify him while Loid beats him up, leaving him unconscious for his arrest. For additional stupidity points, he was carrying a bag full of matches and lighter fluid to serve as his evidence.
  • Title Drop: Loid reminds Doggo to be more careful when it comes to saving the day since he's "part of the family".
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Loid ensures that he and Bond leave the apartment site so they don't get excessive publicity which means that no one will reward them for their heroism. But after Anya reads her father's mind about their adventure, she presents two Stella-themed papers to them as a reward for working hard.
  • With Friends Like These...: Iceplatio's friends aren't the good kind considering how they look at him with envy over his ice cream and how eager they are to laugh at him for his blunder.
