Doctor Octopus uses a device make Spider-Man lose his memory and believe he is his partner in crime, while Taina attempts to help Spider-Man get his memory back with the help a cabbie named Mousie.

- Cassandra Truth: When Taina asks for the police's help in saving Spider-Man from Doctor Octopus, the police do not take her seriously and believe she is just pretending.
- Criminal Amnesiac: Due to Doctor Octopus using his Neural Neutralizer Ray on Spider-Man, he believes he is a criminal and Doctor Octopus' partner in crime.
- Five-Second Foreshadowing: At the end of the episode, Peter casually unmasks himself in front of Taina, a young girl who he spent time with for much of the episode. Seems rather brazen, doesn't it? Then when he leaves we find out she's a patient at a hospital for terminally ill kids.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While Mousie can be defensive at times, she is willing to help Taina save Spider-Man when Doctor Octopus erases his memory.
- Karmic Jackpot: Since Spider-Man saved Mousie from a mugger in the past, after some convincing from Taina, the former decides to help him after she learns of the predicament that Doctor Octopus put him in by erasing his memory.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: The Kingpin unknowingly stops Doctor Octopus from learning Spider-Man's identity when he calls Doc Ock just as the latter was about to unmask Spider-Man.
- Secret-Keeper: At the end of the episode Spider-Man chooses to reveal his identity as Peter Parker to Taina, who promises to keep his secret.
