    Sonic the Hedgehog # 1

Meet Me at the Corner of Hedgehog and Vine!

Doctor Robotnik seems to finally have Sonic in his clutches, but it turns out he's only smashing a pinata shaped like Sonic. At that moment, one of his SwatBots brings in a plant, which is against Robotnik's rules. However, the SwatBot reveals that the plant is a mechanical entity named Krudzu. With its fast growing properties, it can easily overgrow and choke the Great Forest, forcing Sonic and the Freedom Fighters out into the open for Robotnik to destroy.

In the Great Forest, Antoine, hoping to get Sally's attention away from Sonic, heads out to pick her some flowers, but gets caught up in the Krudzu. Sonic comes to his rescue, cutting Antoine loose and getting him back to Knothole. Boomer helps free Antoine from the plant, and tosses it into a bucket. Tails, confusing it for a bucket of plant cuttings, waters them, which causes the Krudzu to short-circuit.

Realizing the plant is mechanical, Sonic immediately realizes this is Robotnik's doing, and plans to find a 5000-foot hose to spray the Great Forest with. However, this turns out to be completely unnecessary, as mother nature would intervene with a thunderstorm, which causes all the Krudzu plants to shortcircuit. Robotnik, angry that his plan was foiled, "plants" the BurroBot who seeded the great forest into the trash.

You Bet My Life!

Sonic the hedgehog receives news that Doctor Robotnik is about to make a big speech in the Casino Night Zone. Sonic, wondering what this is all about, makes his way to the Renorobotnik Robo-Casino to investigate. It doesn't take him long to find out that Doctor Robotnik plans to introduce a new badnik. Sonic slips into the room where the speech is taking place, but Robotnik spots him coming in and realizes he can be used to demonstrate the prototype. Robotnik goes on stage and introduces his new badnik, Orbinaut, who puts its spinning balls to good use and pegs Sonic with one.

When Sonic regains consciousness, Robotnik has him trapped in a glass ball and launches him into a very painful pinball machine. Before he can be sent a second time, however, a SwatBot informs Robotnik that someone actually won money in the casino. When Robotnik goes to take care of this, Sonic takes advantage of the momentary distraction to use his spines to cut the glass ball.

Thanks to the cut, Robotnik's attempt to launch Sonic into the pinball machine again breaks the ball, freeing Sonic and allowing him to smash up the pinball machine. Orbinaut attempts to attack Sonic again, but Sonic spins and rebounds the flying mace balls into Robotnik and his Swatbot. Sonic escapes Renorobotnik, but not before leaving a bomb that blows it up, foiling Robotnik again.

    Sonic the Hedgehog # 2

Triple Trouble!

Robotnik has created three new robots to defeat Sonic once and for all. For his first effort, Robotnik sends out Coconuts, a mechanical monkey armed with explosive coconuts. While Coconuts gives Sonic and Tails some trouble at first, they manage to defeat him with a game of "Monkey in the Middle" that results in Coconuts getting destroyed by his own explosive.

With the defeat of Coconuts, Robotnik dispatches his two other robots, Scratch and Grounder, naming them the Super Special Sonic Search and Smash Squad and sending them out to destroy Sonic. They follow a trail left by Sonic, but they're not stupid enough to walk over a sheer cliff. So Sonic instead shears the cliff with a Sonic spin and sends them plummeting. However, the SSSSSS is not done, as Grounder manages to catch Sonic with a cable, and Scratch yanks him down. However, Scratch and Grounder get in an argument over who gets the credit for defeating Sonic, giving Sonic time to recover and run circles around them, trapping them in a cavein. Sonic runs off, leaving Robotnik foiled again.

Vertigo-a-Go-Go!

While out collecting magic rings, Sonic ends up getting sprung into another dimension, where he meets HorizontAl and VertiCal.

    Sonic the Hedgehog # 3

The Bomb Bugs Me!

One day, while running through Robotropolis, Sonic overhears Robotnik talking about a bomb that will destroy them all. The Freedom Fighters think it's some kind of bomb meant to destroy them, and steal it away from Robotnik. However, it turns out to be a bug bomb that Robotnik planned to use to rid his pantry of flying ants.

Rabbot Deployment!

When Robotnik plans to make inroads in the southern part of Mobius, Sonic and Boomer head south and rescue Bunnie Rabbot from a portable roboticizer, though not before she's turned into a half rabbit, half robot. Bringing her back to Knothole, she's able to put her new half-robot strength to good use by helping to defeat a giant BurroBot that's destroying the Great Forest and joins the Freedom Fighters.

    Sonic the Hedgehog # 4

The Lizard of Odd!

A mishap in the roboticization of a tiny salamander results in the creation of the gigantic Universalamander. As he eats everything on its path, even Robotnik's forced to flee Robotropolis since the monster seems too invincible to handle. Sonic's only hope is to collect enough rings and Chaos Emeralds to attain his super form and fight back.

Tails' Little Tale

While Sonic is taking a nap after his battle with Universalamander, Tails attempts to take over his heroic duties. However, he ends up getting in over his head and it's up to Sonic to save him.

    Sonic the Hedgehog # 5

Olympic Trials and Errors

Robotnik challenges the Freedom Fighters to a Olympic challenge, promising to return Mobius to normal if they win one event, but will roboticize all the Freedom Fighters if they don't win any. The Freedom Fighters accept the challenge, but one of Robotnik's robots has switched Sonic's shoes with energy draining sneakers that deprive him of his speed. With Sonic on the bench, the Freedom Fighters will have to find a way to win an event without him.

Chomp on This, Chump!

Boomer sends away for an Ant Farm, but it turns out to be a trick by Robotnik, who sends a Termite-nator. The Termite-nator devours everything made of wood and grows larger and larger. Sonic manages to find a way to stop it by using Sally's mistaken recipe for pancake batter, and then Boomer reprograms it to eat only metal and sends it back to Robotnik.

    Sonic the Hedgehog # 6

The Spin Doctor!

In this Sonic Spinball tie-in, Sonic attempts to storm Robotnik's new lair, the Veg-O-Fortress.

Sonic's Christmas Carol!

It's Yet Another Christmas Carol with Robotnik in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, with Sonic as the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Sonic tries to make Robotnik repent for his evil ways, but it ultimately goes over his head after seeing his old enemies now old and frail. However, it all goes out with a boom when a bomb he tried to set on Sonic comes back to him and blows everyone up... until it is revealed that it was All Just a Dream Sonic was having. Coincidentally, this is also the first appearance of Snively.

    Sonic the Hedgehog # 7

Uncle Chuck's Treasure!

When Tails comes across a map revealing the location of Sonic's Uncle Chuck's greatest treasure, the Freedom Fighters set out to find it. However, Robotnik hears about the treasure and beats them to it, only for the treasure to turn out to be a pair of Sonic's bronzed baby shoes.

Sorceress in Distress!

When Sally sets out to find a piece of wood to serve as a magical staff for her Fright Night costume, a coincidence makes her think the staff is real. Robotnik witnesses this, and thinking Sally is a real sorceress, plots to marry her and use her "powers" to defeat the Freedom Fighters. Sonic has to find a way to rescue her without giving away the fact that he's been following her the whole time, against her orders.

    Sonic the Hedgehog # 8

'Bot's All, Folks!

When Crabmeat's secret stash of comic books is discovered, Robotnik comes up with the idea of creating superhero bots to challenge Sonic. Sonic takes on all the comers and defeats them all, but he forgot the golden rule of superhero stories: The bad guy always gets away in the end.

A Little Sonic Goes a Long Way

When Sonic and the Freedom Fighters explore the Mobius concert hall for musical instruments to form a band, they get hit by Robotnik's miniaturizing device and are shrunk to the size of dust balls. Sonic must find a way to defeat Robotnik despite his tiny size before he vacuums up his friends into his portable robot maker.
