Tails enters his workshop to reveal that the place is a smoldering wreck and that Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, and a purple female bandicoot are present and covered in soot. Of course Tails wants to know what the hell happened, but as can be expected, Sonic, Knuckles and Amy are determined to present themselves in the best possible light.
Sonic begins with his take on the cause of the fire. The gang were walking from Meh Burger (which Amy destroyed thanks to her burger being tainted with mayonnaise), when they encounter Perci, an attractive purple female bandicoot who has broken her bicycle and hurt her arm. Perci is immediately overjoyed to be in Sonic's glorious presence, while Sonic immediately takes charge of the situation, ordering Knuckles to retrieve Perci's bike and Amy to prepare a splint for Perci's arm. Amy, being jealous of Perci's attraction to Sonic, does so only reluctantly. Knuckles fetches the bike but accidently drops it into a puddle of mud, dirtying Perci's red head scarf. Sonic declares that the group should head to Tails's workshop to repair the bike and clean the scarf, and they head off. Along the way, they encounter Sticks, who accuses Perci of being a robotic spy before fleeing in terror. Sonic assures Perci that Sticks is actually quite nice.
The group arrives at the workshop. With Tails being absent, Sonic takes it upon himself to repair the bike, and directs Amy to tend to Perci with a heating pad and Knuckles to clean her scarf. Things go well at first, but Knuckles and Amy begin fighting over who'll hand Perci a pillow, during which the fire breaks out. Thinking quickly, Sonic puts out the flames using a bucket of water. Sonic ends by declaring that Knuckles must've started the fire when he chose to dry Perci's scarf using an industrial-strength lab kiln.
Next, Knuckles tells his recollections of the previous events. Knuckles, a suave and manly sea captain, had stopped a great white whale (which may or may not be Amy) from ravaging Meh Burger. Knuckles, Sonic and Amy then walk away and encounter Perci. Although dismissive of Sonic, Perci is immediately smitten with the echidna's muscular physique. Knuckles orders Sonic to retrieve Perci's bike (which he is too weak to do) and Amy to prepare a splint for Perci's arm (she prepares one for Perci's leg). Then Sonic struggles to imitate Knuckles's flexing, causing him to stumble and tip the bike into mud, which dirties Perci's scarf. Knuckles suggests the group should head to Tails's workshop for repairs and cleaning, and they proceed, with Sonic whining that the others are moving too fast. On the way, Sticks appears and accuses Perci of being an alien before fleeing in terror. Knuckles assures Perci that Sticks is actually quite nice.
At the workshop, Sonic attempts to repair Perci's bike, but keeps burning his finger with Tails's welding laser. Meanwhile, Knuckles cleans and dries Perci's scarf and Amy struggles with a heating pad, eventually throwing it aside in frustration. Then Sonic and Amy fight over who'll give Perci a pillow, as the workshop sets ablaze. Knuckles stops the flames using spontaneous icy breath powers. Knuckles accuses Amy of throwing the heating pad on some old newspapers laying about, which started the fire.
Amy proceeds to tell her side of the story. Amy, Sonic and Knuckles agree the service at Meh Burger is atrocious and leave. Along the way, they encounter Perci, a wily temptress who probably is faking her injuries but has Sonic and Knuckles wrapped around her finger. They fight over who'll retrieve the broken bike, causing it to land in mud which dirties Perci's scarf. Despite being suspicious, Amy benevolently bestows first aid to Perci, crafting a beautiful splint. The group head to Tails's place, but not before being stopped by Sticks. She accuses Perci of being a malicious government agent and then flees in terror. Amy assures Perci that Sticks is actually quite nice.
At the workshop Amy continues nursing to Perci's wounds, Knuckles begins washing Perci's scarf, and Sonic attempts to repair Perci's bike against the better judgement of Amy. When Perci asks for a pillow, Sonic and Knuckles fight over who'll hand it to her as the workshop goes up in flames. Fortunately, Amy puts out the blaze using a fire extinguisher. Amy then points fingers at Sonic, saying the welding laser he haphazardly handled is the origin of the conflagration.
The three continue bickering over who's take on events is correct, when Perci interjects, declaring that none of them are being completely truthful. She then tells the story as it really happened: Perci had had a minor bike accident leaving her with a small injury on her arm. She asks Sonic and Knuckles if they have any tools she can use for repairs, but they are far more interested in attempting to woo her. Amy, being no better, accuses Perci of manipulating men to get what she wants in a holier-than-thou fashion, to which Perci reiterates that she just needs tools. Amy bandages Perci's arm in the most patronizing way possible, despite Perci insisting that she only has a bruise. Sonic and Knuckles fight over Perci's bike, causing it to splatter mud onto her scarf. Perci asks again where she can get some tools and the group heads to Tails's workshop. Sticks appears out of nowhere and flees in terror as Perci greets her. Perci remarks that Sticks actually seems quite nice anyways.
At the workshop, Perci prepares to repair her bike but Sonic butts her out in an attempt to impress her. So she goes to clean her scarf, only to see Knuckles snatch that task away from her too. She then decides just to rest her arm, to which Amy exasperatedly replies that she'll get her a heating pad already. Sonic, Knuckles, and Amy then fight over who will give Perci a pillow as the flames begin to rise.
At this point Tails interrupts, asking everyone how his security system hasn't prevented them from entering the workshop in the first place. Sonic says that all they heard upon entry was popping and electric buzzing. Tails then deduces that his short-circuiting security system is the actual cause of the fire. Relieved that they are no longer potentially guilty of arson, Sonic, Knuckles and Amy decide to head to Meh Burger to celebrate, leaving Tails and Perci alone to clean up the mess.
Finally, Tails successfully repairs Perci's bike. Perci expresses her appreciation of Tails's mechanical prowess in perhaps more ways than one.

- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Sticks warns of a robot spy, an alien who phones home from houses, and a tax-hungry government agent, in that order.
- Call-Back: Knuckles' Self-Serving Memory flashback in this episode is very similar to the one in "Dude, Where's My Eggman?", where Knuckles is depicted as a brave captain who puts out the fire with ice breath, while Sonic is depicted as a coward.
- Everybody Did It: At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Sonic, Knuckles and Amy were all responsible for contributing to the fire in Tails' workshop, but were preemptively overridden by Tails' security system failing as soon as they entered, which he realized after Sonic told him that he only heard some pops and noises upon entering instead of being trapped. (Though considering it came up at the very end of the episode instead of at any point during Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, or Perci's stories, it wouldn't be too surprising if Tails just made the system failure up as a lie to take the blame to spare everyone's feelings and stop them from fighting with each other.)

- Her Code Name Was "Mary Sue": Sonic, Knuckles, and Amy all make themselves look amazing in their versions of the story. Sonic tells it like everyone is floored by his awesomeness, Knuckles tells it like he's a superhero, and Amy tells it like she's the only one of the group who has any common sense. All three of them also know just what to do, while everyone else is a complete moron of some sort.
- Kidanova: While Sonic and Knuckles' attempts to woo Perci fall flat, Tails wins her over without even trying.
- Military Salute: Amy gives this to Knuckles in the latter's side of the story after he asks her to put a splint on Perci's arm.
- "Rashomon"-Style: This episode has Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, and Perci all giving different accounts of what happened when they came across Perci's broken bicycle, accompanied by a whole ton of Flanderization on the part of each character about themselves - and the others - when they tell the story. The only constants are Perci's bike falling into the mud, Sticks making some sort of insane accusation, and Tails' lab being set on fire.
- Running Gag: Each story has Sticks rattling off a different conspiracy theory of Perci being a spy/alien/government agent before running off screaming. In spite of the differences between each other's stories, this is the one thing that remains mostly constant. In Perci's side of the story, Sticks doesn't have time to yell her theory before Perci says "Nice to meet you", which causes the badger to run off screaming anyway. In all cases, the narrator of that story says Sticks is "very nice", though.
- Southern Belle: Perci has this accent in Amy's side of the story.
- That's an Order!: In Amy's side of the story, after said character hands over Perci's dirty scarf to Knuckles to clean, she says Sonic's name, and he immediately stands to attention before he gets told what to do.
