Recap / Sodor The Early Years S 5 E 6 Ruffled Feathers

Go To

Sheffield arrives on Sodor, and the other engines are glad for his help. But following an incident with some trucks, he and Duck don't exactly see eye-to-eye.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Sheffield came across as rude and blunt to the other engines and was very rough in handling the trucks, but the heart of gold shows when he was gentle with the coaches.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • The second bootlace incident happens. Only this time, it's used to mend one of the brake pipe of Sheffield's trucks after he kept bumping them.
    • Sheffield's comment about Duck's name, "How did you end up named after a bird? You would've have flown or laid an egg in your life."
  • Title Drop: Donald's question to Duck after overhearing his interaction with Sheffield.
Donald: Has he ruffled your feathers, Duck?
