Overachieving student Ian Randall uses his power to duplicate himself so he can date Lana and Chloe simultaneously in order to further his chances of earning a scholarship. Martha considers quitting her job after Jonathan injures himself while working alone on the farm. After an incident with a traffic cop, Lex is forced to attend an anger management class and meets Dr. Helen Bryce.

Tropes present in the episode:

  • Asshole Victim:
    • A mild example is the traffic cop whose cart Lex smashes with a golf club.
  • The B Grade: Ian's response to Mr. Frankel refusing to give him a passing grade? Kill him.
  • Disney Villain Death: One of Ian's clones suffers this fate.
  • Hospital Hottie: Dr. Helen Bryce
  • Interrupted Intimacy: Clark walks in on Chloe making out with Ian (or one of his duplicates; it's hard to tell).
  • It's All About Me: Ian's actions demonstrate a high opinion of himself, such as claiming that Clark's 'vendetta' against him is only because the girls who used to like Clark now like him, and creating a 'suicide note' for Lana and Chloe that presents their actions as being based on their inability to be with Ian.
  • Mundane Utility: Clark uses his X-ray vision to help Pete find out what his grade for shop class is (which also reveals that Ian got a lower grade).
  • Self-Duplication: Ian has the power to make copies of himself (although he can apparently only make one duplicate at a time).
  • Tropaholics Anonymous: After losing his temper and smashing a traffic cop's car with a golf club, Lex is forced to attend an anger management class, where he runs into Helen.
  • Villain of the Week: Ian Randall, who can make copies of himself.
