On a world where violent war games have replaced conventional sports, the Sliders end up fighting for their lives in order to make it to the finish line.

- Big "NO!": Quinn's reaction after Nicky is fatally shot.
- Don't You Dare Pity Me!: Arturo's response to Rembrandt trying to convince him to continue on despite having been blinded.
- Giant Spider: Rembrandt gets stuck to a metal web and faces a few large robotic spiders.
- Nobody Poops: Averted. A blinded Arturo has to relieve himself and goes out alone. When Quinn chastises him for this recklessness, Arturo remarks he doesn't like making that a public event.
- So Proud of You: Arturo to Quinn after getting to a rest spot.Arturo: Every teacher goes through life hoping just once he'll have a student like you. [Quinn smiles] Now go away.
- Temporary Blindness: Arturo takes a laser blast in the face. He laments the idea of being permanently blinded, but he starts to recover before the slide out.
