Glimmer tries to convince Scorpia to reconnect with her runestone. On Beast Island, Entrapta reveals dire new details about the Heart of Etheria.

Tropes:

  • Awesomeness by Analysis: It takes Adora enormous amounts of grief and help from Madam Razz to figure out the secret of the Heart of Etheria. Entrapta deduced it by examining tech on Beast Island and furthermore figured out how it works.
  • Cardboard Prison: Double Trouble seemingly manages to escape their magic prison offscreen and without explanation. They were actually let out by the one who jailed them. Any other means of escape would’ve been impossible.
  • The Dog Bites Back: When Catra is about to lash out at Lonnie, flipping Kyle stands up against her and asks why she has to be so mean.
  • Dull Eyes of Unhappiness: Entrapta gets these as the island's vegetation begins to take over her mind.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Shadow Weaver is adamant that trying to use the Heart of Etheria is a bad idea.
  • Face-Revealing Turn: While the others are trying to leave, Entrapta monologues about not belonging anywhere and proceeds to do one of these to show her gray, apathetic eyes (despite smiling at that moment)
  • Flat "What": Shadow Weaver gives one after Glimmer reveals her plan to have Scorpia reconnect with the Black Garnet.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Entrapta's Dull Eyes of Unhappiness actually get pupils for a fraction of a second after Bow tells her they didn't forget about her.
  • Freudian Slip: When Double Trouble returns to the Fright Zone.
Catra: Double Trouble, you came back...I thought-
Double Trouble: That I left you?
  • Foreshadowing: When one of the guards inform Glimmer that Double Trouble escaped, she doesn't seem shocked by it while Scorpia in the background is. We learn near the end that Double Trouble is working with Glimmer.
  • Get Out!: Catra shouts at Lonnie, Kyle and Rogelio and orders them to get out after she hesitates at Kyle's comment about her being mean to them. This is a sign that Catra is hitting rock bottom.
  • The Gloves Come Off: Glimmer really takes the gloves off now, and decides she must hold nothing back in saving her kingdom.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Shadow Weaver has spent all season trying to make Glimmer more ruthless and convinced her that she should be the type of queen she wants to be rather then one others tell her to be. Now Glimmer has reached a point where she is willing to set off the Heart of Etheria to defeat her enemies and has decided to become the type of queen that won't listen to Shadow Weaver anymore.
  • Half-Truth: DT informs Catra that the princesses aren't getting along and that She-Ra is not at Bright Moon, meaning that it's the perfect opportunity for the Horde to strike. While that on itself is true, what they didn't tell her is that the princesses are expecting them...
  • Hope Spot: It briefly looks like Shadow Weaver is going to be able to get through to Glimmer, to convince her to at least stop and think before invading the Fright Zone by herself. But then she mentions Angella, which upsets Glimmer and causes her to double down.
  • Internal Reveal: Hordak finally learns that Catra lied about Entrapta betraying him.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Throughout Season 4, Catra assigned Double Trouble to ruin the friendship between the Best Friends Squad with their manipulations. Glimmer would return the favor by hiring DT to manipulate Hordak, Catra's partner, into turning against her.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Considering she has been manipulating her all season, Shadow Weaver is pretty shocked to find out that Glimmer intends to take Scorpia to the Fright Zone, the rest of the princesses have left Bright Moon, and Double Trouble has escaped, and Glimmer hasn't told her any of this.
  • Manly Tears: Tears well up in Hordak's eyes when Double Trouble reveals that Catra exiled Entrapta to Beast Island.
  • Missed Him by That Much: The moment Glimmer teleports to the Fright Zone with Scorpia, Adora and the others are back in Bright Moon and are too late to stop Glimmer from activating the Heart of Etheria and to have her reunite with Micah.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Or Nice Job Breaking It Token Evil Teammate. When Shadow Weaver tries talking Glimmer out of her plan to use the Heart of Etheria, she is initially succeeding, until she brings up Queen Angella.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Its dangers notwithstanding, Entrapta loves all the First Ones technology she's finding on Beast Island.
Entrapta: An island full of technological monstrosities, each more deadly than the next? It's paradise!
  • Properly Paranoid: Partly because it's something she'd do if she were in same circumstances, Shadow Weaver knows that Double Trouble could still sell them all out to the Horde, but Glimmer was willing to take that risk.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: After learning the truth about Entrapta, Hordak immediately tries to kill Catra.
  • Skewed Priorities: Entrapta instantly breaks free from her despair induced state not because of Bow's encouraging words of friendship, but because Adora brings up Mara's ship, which is made of First Ones tech.
  • Slouch of Villainy: Adora, Bow, and Micah return to Bright Moon and find Shadow Weaver resting on the queen's throne.
  • Stealth Insult: Scorpia asks if Shadow Weaver's garden is a prison. Shadow Weaver responds that it wasn't a prison until recently, ie, when she had to put up with Scorpia. Scorpia takes the hint.
  • Thought They Knew Already: Double Trouble mentions to Hordak that Catra sent Entrapta to Beast Island, treating it as if was Hordak's plan to distract She-Ra. Of course, Double Trouble knew this was a surprise to Hordak, and they were barely trying to act sincere.
  • Unholy Holy Sword: Entrapa has discovered the runestones and their corresponding princesses power the Heart of Etheria. If they restore balance (i.e. Scorpia connects to the Black Garnet), they'll make it fire, destroying all life on Etheria or any planet of the First Ones' choosing. It also turns out that She-Ra and the sword are the keys to fire the Heart and that the First Ones made the sword deliberately to control She-Ra so she would fire the weapon.
  • Wham Shot: Double Trouble overlooks a fleet of ships, smugly saying things are "too easy" while sending a message by communicator. We then see Glimmer receiving the message, as she managed to get them to turn on the Horde.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Even Shadow Weaver has the right mind to call out Glimmer for being reckless and letting her emotions cloud her judgement.
  • Worth Living For: As monsters approach to overwhelm the heroes, Entrapta is in despair, letting herself become consumed by Beast Island's aggressive vegetation. Bow gradually gets her attention by assuring that no one's given up on her. However, they're in a hurry, so Adora mentions they have a working First Ones ship and asks Entrapta if she wants to see it. At that, Entrapta instantly snaps out of her funk with giddy delight and helps them escape.
Bow: Did anything I say about friendship work for you? Or was it all the ship?
Entrapta: Oh, definitely the ship! But thank you. I'm glad we're friends.
