Chapter 2: Sakura and the Strange Night

In the city of Tomoeda, Sakura Kinomoto has a dream that at first seems very familiar, but soon it takes a horrifying turn as her city is torn apart and the sky shatters like glass... Sakura wakes up to the sound of Kero screaming about lost pudding, and the images of the dream slip away.

Five years have passed since the Sealed Card incident. Sakura, Shaoran, and Tomoyo, all now sixteen years old, attend Seijo High. There have been no supernatural problems to solve since the NOTHING and Nameless Card fused to become the HOPE. Sakura and Shaoran are long since officially a couple, and life is peaceful.

All this changes when Kero calls Sakura in a panic. Approximately one-third of the Sakura Cards have turned ghostly and transparent, and another third inexplicably shift between their Sakura and Clow Card forms. Sakura barely has time to process this before Tomoyo calls both her and Sakura to the park late that night. Once they arrive, Tomoyo accuses Shaoran of "stealing" Sakura from her, then pulls a knife...
