• Actually Pretty Funny: Shen Qiao deadpans that the way Yan Wushi acts is more befitting of a delinquent than of a sect leader, to which Yan Wushi only chuckles in amusement.
• Berserk Button: Huo Xijing seemed to have accidentally touched a nerve when he addresses Yan Wushi with the term “venerable elder” in an attempt to be polite, to which the latter doesn’t seem to take well.
• Jerkass Has a Point: Although Yan Wushi is clearly making Shen Qiao duel with Xie Xiang for the heck of it, he does point out to Shen Qiao that he can only properly gauge how much his martial arts has recovered by testing his abilities against someone else.
• You Make Me Sick: Yan Wushi very bluntly tells Yuan Xiuxiu that he finds her looks to be disgusting, mostly as a means to rile her up.
