Years ago, Otis witnessed his father taking advantage of a woman who suffered nymphomania. Confused, he told Jean about this, who told him that what he just witnessed was sex, and it can destroy relationships when done improperly. This ended up scarring Otis for life, making him scared of sex and masturbation.Otis takes up Lily's offer for some no-strings-attached sex, only to suffer a panic attack.

Still hurting from the worst birthday of his life, Eric storms out of swing band club due to his inability to play in tandem with the rest of the band. He insults Mr Hendricks and punches Anwar after the latter called him trom-boner. He's suspended for this.

Adam is awarded for the best 'As You Like It' essay, which was in fact written by Maeve. When he's asked to read it out in assembly, and struggles to read some of the words, Miss Sands catches on. As opposed to reporting her to the headmaster, she recognises Maeve's talent, and offers her a place in the aptitude scheme.

Aimee and Steve have sex, but Steve is put off by Aimee's forced enthusiasm. Flummoxed that a boy might have discerning tastes, Aimee asks Otis for advice. He tells her she should masturbate and figure out what it is she enjoys.

Jean and Jakob bond over their difficulties raising their children. Ola gives Otis her number.

Tropes

  • Dark and Troubled Past: Otis was traumatised by the sight of his father having sex and the resulting divorce that drove his father away. He's sudddenly reminded of this while trying to have sex with Lily and goes into shock.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Eric storms out of the music club due to his inability to play in tandem with the other students. Mr Hendricks tries to get him to reconsider, but Eric insults him and leaves.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Eric gets suspended for punching Anwar. It doesn't matter that Anwar is very punchable, rules are rules.
