J.D. tries to plan the perfect date for Dr. Briggs, but Elliot keeps getting in the way. Elliot plans a baby shower for Carla while two other women also discover they're pregnant.
- Cool and Unusual Punishment: Cox and Jordan duct tape the guy who did his vasectomy to a chair and get Ted's band to sing the jingle from Chili's Baby Back Ribs without ever saying Ribs.
- Moment Killer: Elliot keeps screwing up JD's plans with Kim. First she interrupts their first date, then prevents the second by inviting Kim to a Neil Diamond concert.
- Oh, Crap!: Cox and Jordan simultaneous realize she's pregnant.
- Remember the New Guy?: Turns out Kim has been working at Sacred Heart a long time. She is hilariously edited into clips from several episodes. Kim even appears in the theme song, where she finally points out that the X-ray being displayed is, in fact, backwards!
- Surprise Pregnancy: Despite his double vasectomy, Cox and Jordan get a second pregnancy. Then Kim surprises JD with one at the end of the episode.
