- Bait-and-Switch: Jordan dyes her hair, making it look for a second like Cox went for drinks with Miller.
- Hypocrite: When Dr. Cox is bemoaning his sudden feelings for Dr. Miller to Turk and Carla, Carla very smugly declares that she would never have a crush on anyone other than Turk, completely ignoring the fact that she went on a date with someone else two episodes before.
- It's All About Me: Elliot chews J.D. out for being hurt that she dumped him for Sean about ninety seconds after they had sex because "he's supposed to be her friend."
- Pet the Dog: Jordan tells Perry that she couldn't care less about his 'little crush' on Dr. Miller, but by the end of the episode she dyes her hair blonde to show she does really care.
