As a result of Jordan's intervention, an enormous amount of tension is caused between characters at Sacred Heart. Will prolonged exposure to each other cause compromise?

  • The Bro Code: JD bursts out an apology for sleeping with Cox's ex-wife.
  • Call-Back: Eliot tells her mom it's gotten awkward with a guy she's been seeing, then "Yes, mom, yay I'm straight", referring back to the time she just pissed off and let her mom think she's gay rather than have a real conversation.
  • Diegetic Musical: Guitarist Colin Hayes is sitting on the bench near JD's and Turk's coffee guy and starts singing appropriate music, then appears (Imagine Spot?) for the next few minutes in the hospital.
  • Left the Background Music On: Played with in JD's final Imagine Spot, where Cox gets angry at Colin's music and smashes his guitar.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Averted then inverted when JD tries to apologize to Cox for sleeping with his ex-wife. Cox very straightforwardly explains the truth of the situation and forgives JD, but then gets made later when JD won't let it go.
  • Status Quo Is God: By the end of the episode, most of the fractures caused by Jordan's revelation at the end of the previous season have been healed. The only relationship not yet back to normal is between her and Cox.
  • Suspiciously Apropos Music: Colin's music is perfectly suited to the situation. JD even gives him an odd look.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Turk calls JD out for the sitcom-typical homophobia.
