Aku unleashes the Minions of Set in another attempt to destroy Jack.
This episode provides examples of:
- Anti-Regeneration: Averted with the Minions of Set. While Aku is a Deity/Personification, he is Made of Evil which is why Jack's sword can completely destroy parts of Aku's mass and negate his regeneration. Set, on the other hand, is a god of chaos and disorder who happens to be evil, and his creations are an extension of his power. The Minions of Set can be cut and hurt by Jack's sword, but they are not made of evil like Aku so their regeneration isn't slowed down and parts of them cut off can rejoin the main body. Only Ra's eyebeams can kill them because Ra's power is too massive for them to just tank.
- Evil Is Not a Toy: Averted. The Minions of Set could’ve easily turned on Aku and killed him due to being made of divine substance, but Aku commanded enough respect from them that they followed his order to kill Jack.
- Mook Horror Show: Once they were unleashed, the Minions of Set eviscerates every single one of Aku's robots.
- No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Jack has only a few moments of realizing the Minions of Set are free before they immediately jump him and beat him senseless.
- Oh, Crap!: Jack's reaction right before the minions converge and beat the ever living daylights out of him. Also when he manages to actually hit one of the Minions and the Minion just regenerates to continue the attack.
- No-Sell: A Downplayed Trope in this instance as Jack's divine sword can hurt and injure the Minions of Set but unlike Aku who is Made of Evil and subject to Holy Burns Evil, The Minions, though evil, are divine creations (of the evil god Set) and so, can quickly regenerate any damage Jack does.
- Riddle Me This: Jack has to figure out the clues in order to know the location of the thing that can destroy the Minions of Set.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: The last minion attempts to flee but Ra easily catches up to it.
- Summon Bigger Fish: Turns out that is the thing that can destroy the Minions of Set; calling Ra for help.
