Queen Nehelenia makes her grand debut before the Sailor Guardians and proceeds to dominate them with her new dark magic. When things look at their bleakest, the heroes turn to the power of the world's dreamers to save the day.


Tropes in this episode include:

  • Actually Pretty Funny: Sailor Mars looks like she's about to laugh when she sees Nehelenia hold up the Golden Pineapple.
  • Back for the Finale: Many of the guest characters from this season appear to charge the Golden Crystal by chanting “Moon Crisis, Make Up” (“Moon Cosmic Dream Action” in the Cloverway dub).
  • Call-Back: Sailor Planet Attack is used once again.
  • The Cameo: Along with the Furuhata siblings, as well as Momoko and Kyuusuke, we also see Principal Honjo and his son as they lend their power to the Sailor Guardians.
  • Clap Your Hands If You Believe: Sailor Chibi Moon asks everyone who's ever had a beautiful dream to cry out "Moon Crisis Power" to give her and Sailor Moon the power to defeat Nehelenia.
  • Cliffhanger: Moon and Chibi Moon unleash the full power of the Golden Crystal directly at Nehelenia which unleashes bursts of light throughout her circus.
  • Cool Chair: Nehelenia appears before the Sailor Guardians riding a floating throne made of a green elephant.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Nehelenia takes sadistic pleasure in overwhelming the Guardians with her new power, especially since their attacks have no effect on her.
  • Doomed Hometown: Helios takes Mamoru to a sanctuary that was once his home known as the Golden Kingdom. Only now it's overrun with briars and black roses.
  • Friendship Moment: Mercury briefly helps up Mars stand up in spite of her bruised state.
  • Heroic Resolve: In spite of losing the first round, Sailor Moon stands up to fight for the sake of Chibi-Usa and Mamoru. Her friends follow her lead when they see her stand.
  • Instant Costume Change: In Elysion, Mamoru changes from his yellow pajamas to his Prince Endymion outfit.
  • Internal Reveal:
    • The Inner Girls come face to face with Queen Nehelenia.
    • Mamoru meets Helios in the Elysion and identifies him as Pegasus.
  • Luminescent Blush: The Inner Senshi do this after they see Helios pop out of nowhere to give Chibi Moon a kiss.
  • Kiss of Life: Helios kisses the unconscious Chibi Moon to free her from her cursed sleep.
  • Kneel Before Zod: Nehelenia demands that the people of the White Moon bow before her.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Thanks to Nehelenia discarding the Amazoness Quartet, they decide to conspire against her to give the Sailor Guardians a chance at winning.
  • My Greatest Failure: Helios blames himself for letting Elysion fall to ruin and for not being able to stop the Dead Moon from conquering Earth.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: In the episode prior, Nehelenia revealed that the Dead Moon Circus gained a boost in power from the Quartet's original magic. This is brought up by JunJun who deduces that they still have their own magic that wasn't from their Amazon Stones.
  • No-Sell: Queen Nehelenia easily neutralizes each attack the Guardians throw at her.
  • Previously on…: The first scene shows Nehelenia stealing the Golden Crystal and escaping her Mirror Realm.
  • Replaced with Replica: While Nehelenia is distracted, the Amazoness Quartet replace her Golden Crystal with a pineapple and hand it over to Sailor Moon to use.
  • Rousing Speech:
    • Mamoru gives one to the Helios by reminding him that it's impossible to take away a person's dreams and how there will always be dreamers in the world to inspire hope and light.
    • Chibi Moon gives one to the world/Tokyo to convince all the beautiful dreamers to help her fight the Dead Moon and save the Earth from it's cold clutches.
  • Talking in Your Dreams: Helios summons Mamoru to Elysion so they can discuss the ongoing battle.
  • This Cannot Be!: Queen Nehelenia reacts in horror over the Golden Crystal radiating light energy thanks to Chibi Moon's Rousing Speech.
  • Would Rather Suffer: Jupiter boasts that Nehelenia will have an easier time killing her and her friends over making them bow to her.
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: Sailor Moon gets the Golden Crystal thanks to the Amazoness Quartet and manages to make it glow after asking for it's help. But to everyone's sorrow, the glow fades in a few seconds.
