“I've lost two more lights. Lights that were precious to me. Oh, where is our Light of Hope?”
Usagi Tsukino

The Starlights pour their heart and soul into their final attacks against Sailor Galaxia who's hell-bent on destroying their Star Seeds because of their excessive defiance. As they fight, Sailor Moon voices a new desire of helping Galaxia return to the side of good as she comes to realize that Chaos is the one influencing her tyrannical goals. But after she receives a devastating blow from the Golden Queen, the true Light of Hope reveals herself.

Tropes in this episode include:

  • A God I Am: The Golden Queen believes herself to be a God who's above everyone around her.
  • All for Nothing: In the past, when she was still a good Sailor Guardian, Galaxia feared that her efforts to protect the galaxy from Chaos would ultimately end with her conquering it after Chaos controlled her.
  • Battle Aura: Galaxia gains a golden aura that frequently appears whenever she wields her dark sword.
  • Big "NO!": Sailor Moon screams this after a big bang is heard across the stars, signifying the defeat of her precious friends.
  • Cliffhanger: With Sailor Moon dead and Galaxia on the cusp of victory, Chibi Chibi Moon unleashes her power as the true Light of Hope.
  • Colorful Contrails: The Starlights and Galaxia turn into streaks of light as they fight each other across the galaxy.
  • Combination Attack: By combining their powers, the Starlights are able to land a major blow at Galaxia.
  • Commonality Connection: Sailor Moon argues in favor of helping Galaxia by citing her as another Sailor Guardian who once tried to do good but is now suffering alone.
  • Continuity Nod: Princess Kakyuu's explanation of the Sailor Wars is repeated once more.
  • Darkest Hour: Galaxia has completely conquered all of the galaxy and she's revealed to have been the Light of Hope who could have stopped her. The Starlights have used all their power in their final attacks and are still unable to defeat her. Moon's efforts in reasoning with Galaxia only end with her Tiare broken and her Star Seed shattered. All hope is lost, until one last Sailor Guardian reveals her true self.
  • Declaration of Protection: Star Fighter vows to do everything in her power to protect Sailor Moon and her light from the wrath of Galaxia.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: After being given a major blow by the Starlights, Galaxia resolves to murdering them by shattering their Star Seeds.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Galaxia explains that after Chaos was sealed into her body, she came to realize how she could never rely on another Sailor Guardian for help and how it would be more beneficial to create a new universal order where she would rule over all. Thus began her quest to conquer the galaxy.
  • Flashback: As the Golden Queen declares herself the victor, a flashback reveals that she was worried about Chaos using her to control the galaxy and made preparations to stop herself.
  • Flat "What": Galaxia gives a grim "what" after Moon asks if sealing Chaos in her body was the only choice she had.
  • Godzilla Threshold: Realizing that Chaos will soon corrupt her, Galaxia sent out her Star Seed into the void of space to find a Sailor Guardian who can embrace her and defeat Galaxia herself when the time is right.
  • Hope Spot:
    • Sailor Moon tries to use "Silver Moon Crystal Power" to purify Galaxia which seems to be working based on how powerful the light energy is. Alas, Galaxia manages to destroy her Tiare which cancels the attack.
    • Happens a second time when she exposes her Star Seed in another purification gambit. But Galaxia easily shatters it causing Sailor Moon to die.
  • In Medias Res: The penultimate episode continues with Sailor Galaxia explaining how she sealed away Chaos in her body.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: The Sailor Starlights will themselves for a final assault against Galaxia.
  • Previously on…: The first scene of the episode involves Haruka and Michiru's final act before dying together.
  • The Reveal: Chibi Chibi Moon is revealed to be the living embodiment of Galaxia's Star Seed sent to find the one star who would work alongside her to defeat her corrupted self.
  • This Cannot Be!: Galaxia is astounded when the Starlights use their powers to break her defenses and administer significant damage.
  • Villain Respect: After Sailor Moon exposes her Star Seed, Galaxia compliments it's radiance and how she expected nothing less from the Moon Princess herself.
  • What You Are in the Dark: Discussed. Galaxia brings up how when a planet is about to be destroyed, it's inhabitants tend to run away to protect themselves while disregarding everyone around them. She even accuses the Starlights of taking the coward's way out by abandoning Kinmoku during it's destruction.
  • You Can Run, but You Can't Hide: Galaxia gleefully mocks the remaining Guardians by saying they have nowhere to run or hide as the whole galaxy is under her control now.
