What was a lead to the Dark Kindom's entrance turns out to be a trap by Kunzite who banishes the Sailor Guardians into a hellish dimension. Though they find salvation from the soul of Queen Serenity who not only saves them but also shares the great tragedy that befell the Moon Kingdom.

- All Your Powers Combined: The Sailor Guardians combine their energy into Sailor Moon to give her the power to defeat Kunzite.
- Bad People Abuse Animals: Kunzite brutalizes Luna and Artemis upon them reaching D Point.
- Batman Can Breathe in Space: The Sailor Guardians wind up in the ruins of the Moon and can breathe perfectly fine. The same applied to Queen Serenity and her past court.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: In a sense, the princess was able to get her wish to enjoy Earth's beauty as the extermination of the Moon Kingdom forces her mother to reincarnate her and everyone as humans in the modern age after dying.
- The Cameo: Jadeite, Nephrite and Zoisite appear alongside Kunzite as they partake in the Moon Kingdom's annihilation.
- Cliffhanger: The last scene has the cats informing the girls about the Dark Kingdom's hidden base followed by Sailor Moon rallying her friends to go there.
- Clothing Damage: Kunzite has the audacity to use his dark energy attacks to rip up the girls' sailor uniforms.
