Recap / SM G4s Mario Bloopers Mario Does Literally Anything For Views

Go To

Mario does every challenge known to man.

SMG4 is planning his big 5 million subscriber celebration, but he hasn't even reached the milestone yet. Desperate to rake in those subs, he puts Mario through just about every crazy YouTube challenge he can think of.

  • ASMR Video: SMG4 gets Mario to make an ASMR video and a Mukbang video. The ASMR video is a surprising success, the Mukbang is a predictable failure.
  • Be Yourself: The moral of the episode is that SMG4 should make videos his own way instead of just mimicking YouTube and TikTok trends, which inspires him to make a livestream celebrating everything that makes its channel what it is.
  • Broken Tears: During the Mystery Buttons challenge, Mario gets reduced to this after spamming most of the buttons, turns out SMG4 accidentally set them to inflict emotional pain rather than physical pain, Mario ends up preferring the latter.
  • Buried Alive: One of the challenges requires Mario to be buried alive for 24 hours. SMG4 ends up oversleeping and keeping him buried there for over 274 hours.note
  • Continuity Nod:
    • Meggy does a livestream of Sony's new "Squid Game" for PlayStation from the "If Mario Was in Squid Game" episode (actually a Chinese bootleg Splatoon rip-off that really exists) and is less than impressed.
    • When SMG4 decides to escape to Mexico after leaving Mario in a coffin for too long, Swag comes with him.
    • The episode ends the same way "The Quest for RTX" and the 10 Year Anniversary Special do: with SMG4 Breaking the Fourth Wall to speak to the viewer (this time to promote his new livestream), with some other character seeing him talking directly to a wall and thinking he's crazy.
  • Face Palm: SMG4 reacts this way when Mario fails the Mukbang challenge, smacking himself so hard that his hand goes through his face.
  • No-Sell: Now honestly, who thought saying "it's just a prank, bro" would stop Mr. Monitor?
  • Oh, Crap!: After SMG4 overslept during the "Buried Alive" challenge for Mario, he realizes that he's under there for over 274 hours. That time long overdue causes SMG4 to flee the scene and move to Mexico.
  • Sequel Hook: The video points towards a 5 million subscriber special for the next week's video.
  • Simple Solution Won't Work: SMG4 is worried that he will not get 5 million subscribers in time for the Milestone Celebration that he has planned for the following week. When Mario points out that he could just move it to a later date, SMG4 responds that he can't as he has hyped it up too much.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Mario attempts to perform the Tide Pod Challenge. No guesses on what happens next. (He gets better, though)
  • Unexplained Recovery: Mario apparently dies in the Tide Pod Challenge and the Buried Alive Challenge, yet is always back in time for the next scene in perfect shape.
  • You Were Trying Too Hard: King Chonk explains to SMG4 that he was focusing too much on copying what makes other content creators popular, which is why his subscriber count started to dip. May cross into Irony into a meta sense since in recent years, SMG4 slightly deviated from what made the channel popular in the first place.
