Mario and friends all try out different sports. Most of them are pretty bad.

After the Mushroom Kingdom’s sports team suffers yet another embarrassing loss, Peach decides to recruit Mario and his friends as new players, and sets them up with a variety of sports to see who’s the best at each of them… with varying degrees of success and much hilarity.

Tropes:

  • Accidental Murder: Implied to have happened during the baseball game. Mario strips naked to distract SMG4 so he won't get a home run. Cue SMG4 screaming, gaining red bulging eyes, and falling over. Only, a few minutes later, SMG4 still hasn't gotten up, and has become unresponsive.
Mario: HAH! Take that, SMG4!!!! :DDDD
[Beat as SMG4 continues laying motionless on the ground]
    Mario: SMG4?
  • Artistic License – Biology: A fictional example. In Splatoon, Inklings dissolve and die in water, and can't even touch it. In this episode, Meggy merely has Super Drowning Skills, but is fine in the water when Bowser gives her a floatie.
  • A-Team Firing: Bob rapidly fires arrows from his bow in his attempt to hit the target. Out of his few dozen arrows, only a single one even hits the target.
  • Beyond the Impossible: Peach was standing behind Bob during his archery. When he's done, she turns around and it's revealed he somehow got an arrow in her back.
  • Bows and Errors: The Archery scene contains several errors.
    • Meggy fires off 9 arrows in about 2 seconds, causing the bow to smoke like a gun. Real bows physically can't fire that quickly, due to only being able to shoot one arrow at once and needing to be "reloaded" in between every shot. A real bow also wouldn't smoke, due to having no gunpowder involved and not firing fast enough to create friction.
    • Bob exaggerates the hell out of the above issue. In around 5 seconds he fires several dozen arrows. His arrows are also depicted to actually hit the target, but bounce or slide off for no reason. The one arrow that actually pierces ends up landing in the rough border, the one part that isn't designed to be shot at.
  • Call-Back: During Archery, Bob mentions that he was a Native American in his past life.
  • Covers Always Lie: The thumbnail shows Boopkins excitedly playing american football. In the video itself, though, Boopkins realises he isn't cut out to play the game well, so he quits to go play Pokémon with Luigi.
  • Epic Fail: When Luigi tries to throw his bowling ball to hit two split pins, his ball richochets all around the bowling alley, getting a perfect strike in every single lane except his own, where the ball finally lands in the gutter without touching either of his split pins.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Bob, for as weird and demented as he is, is rightfully disgusted by Boopkins eating his bowling ball.
    Bob: The fuck?
  • Extreme Omnivore: Rather than actually bowl, Boopkins nibbles on his bowling ball and calls it delicious, praising the "buffet".
  • Eye Scream: Upon seeing Mario naked, SMG4's eyes grow giant and catch on fire.
SMG4: Oh god! My eyes! Ahhh, it burns!
  • Fingore: During baseball, Bowser throws the ball so hard that the catcher's hand bursts into flames upon catching it, then falls off onto the ground.
  • Hidden Depths: This episode reveals that:
    • Toad is good at basketball.
    • Shroomy, Luigi and Boopkins are all expert swimmers.
    • Meggy is an incredible archer.
    • Waluigi is an expert snowboarder.
    • Toad is a good bowler.
    • Bowser and Waluigi are great pitchers and SMG4 and Meggy are great batters.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: Boopkins and Luigi realise they're not cut out for american football, so the two start playing Pokémon instead.
  • Look Both Ways: During the baseball game, Boopkins tries running after a far-hit ball to collect it and stop Meggy's home run. He stops when he encounters a road blocking his path, angering Mario and Wario. Bob grows impatient of Boopkins's waiting and runs across the road himself to retrieve the ball, only to instantly get hit by a cab.
  • Major Injury Underreaction: Bob's arrow spam somehow ends up getting one arrow lodged in the back of Peach's shoulder, despite her being behind him. She seemingly doesn't notice this injury, but Bob pulls a Screw This, I'm Outta Here upon seeing it when she turns around.
  • More Dakka: Bob resorts to rapidly firing arrows at the target to hit it. Only 1 of his arrows even hits the target, forget getting a bullseye. Peach congratulates him, then turns around to reveal he somehow got an arrow in her back.
  • Naked People Are Funny: Mario strips naked to distract SMG4 so the latter won't get a home run. It's implied that this killed him.
  • Removable Shell: Bowser uses his shell as a bowling ball during the Bowling segment. He gets a strike with it but also a Death Glare from Peach.
  • Smash Cut: During his time snowboarding, Shroomy accidentally goes over a ramp and ends up soaring quite high. At first, he's terrified, but then slowly finds it exciti-sudden cut to him having landed and lying half buried in the snow.
Shroomy: Oh hey! I can see my house fro-[Cut to him in the snow]-ok don't worry about it.
  • Super Drowning Skills: Meggy, being an Inkling, can't enter water on her own, and drowns seconds after jumping in the pool.

Bob Crosses The Street

Boopkins stops going after the ball because there's a road in the way. Bob attempts to carelessly cross it and instantly gets hit by a car.
