Tropes in smg4 vs smg3

  • Continuity Nod: This video references the previous video SSENMODNAR with SMG3 ripping it off with a version of his own.
  • Evil Doppelgänger: This blooper's main antagonist is a Palette Swapped version of SMG4 who dons black overalls, makes bloopers, and has an evil personality. Yeah, SMG3 definitely qualifies as this and still qualifies as this to this day.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: SMG4 had no idea of SMG3's existence until this blooper since he asked Mario who uploaded the video that stole his ideas. This is nowadays a contradiction because it's later revealed that SMG4 and SMG3 did met each other before the events of this episode.
    • SMG3's personality is also this. He just wanted to rip off SMG4's bloopers. This is a far cry from his later appearances which involve him either trying to kill SMG4 and his friends, or to just humiliate them.
  • Establishing Character Moment: The entire blooper is this to SMG3.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Compared to most "villains" before his debut whom were either just an antagonistic force getting in Mario and SMG4's way like the Weegee Disease, or have a personality similar to a stereotypical Saturday Morning Bad Guy like Bowser, SMG3 is probably the earliest example of a truly evil character in SMG4's Channel despite being also comical.
  • Retcon: Due to the YouTube and Genesis Arcs, it has been stated that SMG4 and SMG3 knew each other before this episode despite the dialogue saying otherwise.
