Recap / SMG 4 Mario Vs Skibidi Toilet

Go To

Mario goes to use the bathroom and makes a strange friend..

Mario strikes up a friendship with a Skibidi Toilet creature named Simon, created by Depresso dumping mutating Prime liquid in the castle's toilet. But what will he and Luigi do when a whole swarm of them overrun their house at night?

  • Anti-Villain: The Skibidi Toilets who overrun Mario's house are revealed to be Simon's family, so it's not hard to assume that they were merely looking for their relative and the Mario Bros' house was the first place that came to their mind.
  • Big Damn Heroes: With Luigi swallowed up by a gigantic Skibidi Toilet and Mario stuck in a Heroic BSoD hard enough to distract him from minding the whole army surrounding him, Simon returns flying on rockets, reunites with his kin, and forces the culprit to spit Luigi back out.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Simon's family comes to get him, so naturally Mario has to let him go, much to both parties' sadness. On the bright side, Luigi manages to reassure him that Simon might drop by one day; plus, they have a lot of leftover toilets to decorate the castle with (though Mario takes an explosive dump in one).
  • But Now I Must Go: Simon has to go home with his family, though he promises that he and Mario will meet again someday soon.
  • Call-Back: At the beginning of the episode, Mario is playing "Mario Waits for the Bus", just like he did during the episode of the same name. Like before, he fails badly and the game insults him for it.
  • Continuity Nod: Mario's uncanny ability to befriend supernatural creatures comes up yet again; this time, it's a Skibidi Toilet he names Simon, who becomes Mario's loyal pet until the end where he has to go.
  • Crossover: Of SMG4 and Skibidi Toilet Series.
  • Deus Exit Machina: Meme guardian/expert SMG4 can't help Mario figure out what is going on with the bathroom as he is struggling to wash his pet meme. Fortunately, Mario, upon further investigation, discovers and befriends the creature he finds- a Skibidi Toilet.
  • Face of a Thug: Simon, being a Skibidi Toilet creature, naturally has the Nightmare Face to match. But in reality, he wouldn't hurt a fly, even chewing out one of his relatives for eating Luigi.
  • Hope Spot: Mario and Luigi discover they can easily kill the Skibidi Toilets by simply flushing them and they succeed in eliminating about a hundred of them. Mario then tosses Luigi towards the handle of a big one... only for another giant Skibidi Toilet to intercept the attempt by eating Luigi.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: Luigi is understandably terrified by the flock of Skibidi Toilets overrunning the brothers' house at night. But when they swarm Mario and nearly suffocate him, it's on.
  • Monster Clown: Depresso continues his streak of bizarre and disturbing activities from the last video by pouring... something into the toilet at the castle, mutating it into the titular Skibidi Toilet.
  • Mundane Solution: Just like in their series of origin, the easiest way to kill a Skibidi Toilet is by flushing it, causing the head to permanently disappear.
  • Never Trust a Title: Downplayed. The title implies that Mario is about to fight the Skibidi Toilet. Instead, not only do they become fast friends, but Simon- the Skibidi Toilet in question- pulls through for Mario and Luigi. However, a horde of Skibidi Toilets invade their house to rescue him, so Mario and Luigi still have to fight their way out.
  • The Unintelligible: Simon, along with the rest of his kin, can only communicate by going "Skibidi-bop" over and over.
