The Mario Bros. are captured and placed in several death traps for someone's amusement. Will the brothers escape their captor? Who even IS this psycho?This is the fifth episode in the Waluigi Arc.

- Bittersweet Ending: Mario and Luigi survive the events of the episode, but in doing so, they've given Waluigi the rejection necessary to achieve his final form, and promptly leaves Mario trapped in a chair and dumps Luigi in the sewers.
- Casual Danger Dialog: Mario to Luigi, as the two of them are forced to run "The Tunnel of Doom."Mario: So Luigi. How's your saturday going?
- Darker and Edgier: Multiple times Mario and Luigi's lives are placed in danger, the masked psycho has almost no comedic traits and Luigi seemingly sacrifices himself falling into molten lava to save his brother (it was watermelon Kool-Aid, but still!). And then there's The Reveal that Waluigi set the whole thing up to force Mario to reject him after the latter unwittingly accepted his invitation.
- Death Course: The masked kidnapper's "Tunnel of Doom," an obstacle course filled with baddies that Mario and Luigi are forced to dodge through. Mario ends up ruining it by being too fat and getting stuck.
- Disproportionate Retribution: In a somewhat pragmatic way. Thanks to causing the T-Pose Virus, everyone now hates Waluigi. He then decided to send an invitation to everyone in the Mushroom Kingdom to power himself up further. However, just as he was about to achieve his final form, Mario agrees to it, and thus, Waluigi kidnaps Mario and Luigi in order to torture them until they give him what he wants, rejection.
- Do Not Taunt Cthulhu: A pissed off Mario throws an unconscious Monty Mole at the masked kidnapper when they show up to mock the Bros. Mario laughing at them causes the kidnapper to send them to the "Punishment Round."BIG MISTAKE! You REALLY shouldn't have done that! You've just earned yourself... the PUNISHMENT ROUND!
- Don't Celebrate Just Yet: Mario prematurely gloats after the chains from the first trap are released, only for new chains to attach to them.Mario: Yipee! Suck Mario's Pingas! (Cue the chains) ...Shit.
- Epic Fail: The first trap fails because the Piranha Plants used to crush Mario and Luigi's heads get attracted to each other and run off, while the "Tunnel of Doom" fails because the masked man failed to realize that Mario's fatness would be a problem. Not so much with the "Floor is Lava" though.
- Everyone Has Standards: Mario, for as much as an idiotic ditz that has little care for the harms he inflicts upon others, is begging Luigi not to sacrifice himself. And when it turns out the the threat wasn't real and the kidnapper put Mario through the emotional wringer for seemingly shits and giggles, Mario has this to respond with;Mario: YOU MASKED ASS! WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU...
NO! YOU'RE AN ASS! I THOUGHT MY BROTHER DIED! I'LL NEVER EVER BE YOUR FRIEND! - Explosive Leash: The Piranha Plants serves a expy of Jigsaw's reverse bear traps. Too bad the masked kidnapper didn't realize that the Plants could think, and promptly leave once they become attracted to each other.
- Flat "What": The kidnapper's reaction to his Piranha Plants falling in love and leaving.What the hell?
- Foreshadowing: The twist that the masked kidnapper is Waluigi is cleverly hinted at throughout the episode.
- After Mario pisses him off by throwing a Monty Mole at him, just before the two are sent off to the punishment round, the glow around his body is the exact same color as Waluigi under his Power of Rejection.
- After Luigi sacrifices himself to let Mario live (not knowing the lava is actually watermelon kool-aid), the kidnapper commends him and says that he "wished his brother loved him that much". Viewers who have seen Waluigi Origins will remember that in the SMG4 Universe, Wario and Waluigi are brothers.
- Lava Is Boiling Kool-Aid: A literal example, as Luigi seemingly sacrifices himself falling into it to save Mario then starts drinking from it once he realizes what it is.
- Oh, Crap!: Mario and Luigi's reactions to the rules of "Floor is Lava."Mario: OH SHIT!
Luigi: WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE! AAAAAAAHHH! - Wham Episode: Waluigi is back, and more powerful than ever, having gotten what he wanted, while Mario is left alone, strapped to a chair.
- What Did I Do Last Night?: When Mario wakes up in a room with his unconscious brother, a Piranha Plant on his head, and a chain on his leg, he has this to say;Mario: Oh boy, Mario must have been into some pretty weird crap yesterday.
