Bob and Boopkins are "having an anime battle to see who can be the most anime", according to Bob. With Tari as the judge and Mario, Bob and Boopkins as competitors, things are gonna get... weird.This episode marks the official start of the Anime Arc.

- Battle Aura: The final anime battle starts with each competitor wreathed in one.
- Kamehamehadoken: Bob fires one in the final anime battle that destroys Mario, Lakitu, a house, Solid Snake (using the cutscene from World of Light), and finally Peach's Castle. That blast ends up causing more problems than it first appears.
- Me's a Crowd: Mario and Bob use the Shadow Clone Jutsu during the race challenge, though Bob's is... less than successful.
- Rouge Angles of Satin: Invoked, possibly unintentionally, by Bob in his love confession to Tari when he says he can be her "angle or [her] devil". Tari tells the guys the whole thing is very uncomfortable.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Tari tries to pull this for the "Who Can Do The Best Anime Love Confession?" challenge the moment she realizes Boopkins, Bob, and Mario (in that order) are all 'confessing' to her. She fails to get away in time and is forced to endure them. At least Mario's confession is normal… until he gives her his present – a kidnapped Hideo Kojima, at which point she declares no one wins and nopes off.
- They Killed Kenny Again: Mario, Lakitu, and Snake are killed by Bob's blast.
- Tsundere: This is how Boopkins styles his love confession. Tari is less than impressed.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Bob lying to Peach that Goku destroyed her castle ends up setting off a chain reaction of events that eventually leads to the SMG4 universe changing forever.
