Mario takes a trip to Hyrule... and screws up everything.
- Brick Joke: The whole reason Mario goes to Hyrule is to hide from Luigi in hide and seek. While Ganondorf is attacking Mario, Luigi suddenly appears.
- The Chosen One: Parodied. Mario snatches the Master Sword before Link could grab it, leading to Rauru to descend from the sky declaring that Mario must be the chosen one, causing Mario to freak out and shoot him dead. Mario then decides that since he's "the chosen one," it's time for him to save the world, and he proceeds to do all kinds of stupid things before cowardly giving Link the sword once Ganondorf actually shows up. Then Link ends up dying because he couldn't keep up with the Tennis Boss.
- Gainax Ending: The climax is ruined when Luigi finally finds Mario, leading to Mario demanding Ganon that it's his turn to find everyone then quietly shoving dynamite up his butt. The final scene has Mario and Luigi walking home to get spaghetti while Link's corpse is on fire, Ganondorf is counting unaware of the explosive in his anus, and Navi has had enough and decides to find a job as a lightbulb.
- Mood Whiplash: Ganondorf smashes the ocarina Link gave Mario. Mario panics... then Luigi comes and announces that he finally found Mario. Mario forgets that he was in danger and laments that he should've picked a better spot.
- The Stinger: After the end card, we get an additional scene with Bob, who asks why he wasn’t in the episode when his character model originated in a Zelda game.
