Angry at the appearance of Zero in Neotopia, the Commander orders that Zapper and Grappler cease their bickering and to bring them to their base. Taking advantage of the Gundams' lack of unity, the Dark Axis captures them both. With Captain and Zero corralled, it's up to Shute to save the day- but even if he frees the Gundams, how will they return home?

- Chekhov's Gun: The voice changer Shute plays with at the beginning is used to trick the Zakurello Gate into opening a portal to Neotopia, by copying Zapper's voice.
- Foreshadowing: Zero mentions that his other comrades have been taken to the Dark Axis main base. We won't know what happened to them until much, much later on.
- Power of Friendship: Watching Captain and Shute's devotion to each other is what causes Zero to join them. Similarly, Captain and Zero are able to pummel Zapper and Grappler with ease after they agree to work together.
- Sticky Situation: This time, Grappler uses a specialized gun to trap the Gundams in a ball of rubber glue. He and Zapper quickly end up the same after Zapper messes with the gun.
