Go To

Deathscythe, the Knight of Darkness, uses his magic to send Tallgeese, also trapped in the Minov Boundary Sea, the Evil Sword Epyon. The Evil Sword steals the power of those it slays, but also steals the souls of those using it! Can the Gundam Force save Tallgeese? Can they save themselves?

On Tallgeese and the various places in the show.

Tropes

  • Alas, Poor Villain: Tallgeese may be an opportunistic jerk, but him being consumed by Epyon is described by Bakunetsumaru as, "Too cruel."
    • The same could be said for the deaths of Tallgeese followers, knights Mercurius and Vayeate. Since the pair had been risking their own lives to try and keep him alive. Only to be rewarded for their loyalty by being killed and their powers absorbed into Epyon.
  • Devour the Dragon: Once Tallgeese starts wielding the Evil Sword Epyon, his first act is to kill Mercurius and Vayeate, adding their powers to the weapon. However, Tallgeese's soul fully bonds with the sword before the episode ends, resulting in his mind and body being taken over by the spirit within the sword, as Deathscythe planned.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Tallgeese is fond of giving a big speech whenever he appears. When he skips it for this encounter, the Gundam Force notice that something's up.
  • You Are Too Late: The Gundam Force fight to free Tallgeese from the Epyon Sword's magic, but by the time they knock the sword out of his hand, its already possessed his soul.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: See Devour the Dragon above.

Evil Sword Epyon is Empowered

Quickly falling under the sway of the Evil Sword Epyon, Tallgeese uses it on his followers to absorb them and their powers into the weapon.<br>However, Deathscythe's dialogue hints that Tallgeese will also fall victim to this trope...

How well does it match the trope?
