Recap / Rune Scape Legacy Of Seergaze

Go To

The quest starts with you investigating a disturbance at the Paterdomus temple, which turns out to be a group of Zamorakians and Saradominists plotting the end of the Edicts of Guthix. You escort a mercenary adventurer who turns out to be Ivan Strom, the guy you escorted away from the Myreque at Veliaf's orders last time. He wants to get back in the action, much to Veliaf's exasperation.

Veliaf has a task for you- take some supplies to the Sanguinesti Myreque. And while you're at it, Safalaan also has a task for you. You see, the Myreque has the rather large problem that they can't hit their enemies. Vampires of Vyrewatch rank and above are not only immune to non-silver weapons, they seem unable to be damaged by anything, period. From perusing that haelchemy book you stole last quest, the Myreque have discovered that it's a form of limited mind-reading that allows them to instinctively know and counter the move their opponent is thinking of. The trick, of course, is Confusion Fu; if the wielder has no idea where the attack will end up, the vamp won't either. The weapon in question is the Ivandis Flail, made from a blessed silver sickle set with an emerald and then enchanted, a silvthril chain, and a Rod of Ivandis.

You're also asked to check further into the laboratory with Safalaan and a few others. You make it through the door blocking your way, but while looking around, you have a problem or two. Specifically, a pair of Vyrewatch, who you can't yet damage. One of your companions dies, the other flees, and Safalaan himself gets knocked unconscious. At this point, something strange happens. Safalaan's body manifests an aura of supernatural power that knocks the Vyrewatch back and forces them to flee. You in turn return to the base, where Safalaan doesn't want to talk about what happened.

But enough weird Safalaan stuff- it's time to make the Ivandis Flail and test it out! The flail works like a charm, and you're able to kill Vyrewatch with it like normal. They leave a Vyre Corpse behind, and if you take it to Drezel he'll realize that there's a tormented soul trapped within. You can release the soul by cremating it at the Columbarium below the temple, which will give you some loot.

The Columbarium, you see, was prepared by the residents of Hallowvale who couldn't escape Drakan. Knowing that they would be turned into vampyres themselves, they made the columbarium so that anyone who killed them would be able to release their souls. They also promised their worldly possessions to whoever cremated them. Cremating that first vyrewatch nets you a blood talisman.

Report your findings to Veliaf, and it's quest complete.
