Recap / Runaways (2017) S03E07: "Left-Hand Path"

Go To

The Runaways learn the true threat they, and the rest of the world, face from their new nemesis Morgan.

  • Crazy-Prepared: After Robert dies and seemingly was unable to retrieve Morgan's spell book, Nico finds out that he stored a recording device in his glasses which allowed him to visually record everything including an important page from the book.
  • Didn't Think This Through: The gang's attempts to send out a video warning people of the Wizard phones fails since, as the head of a super-advanced tech company and a witch, Morgan and her followers have no problem intercepting a video sent from a run-down third-rate computer before it can go viral.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Lampshaded by Stacey when an enchanted Geoffrey locks her and Victor into a room.
Stacey: I guess that hideous crow necklace should have been a giveaway.
  • For the Evulz: Morgan kills Robert just to enjoy seeing Tina suffer.
  • Insult Backfire: Robert tells Morgan than no one can love her willingly since she uses magic to manipulate people.
Morgan: You're trying to hurt me? How bold. But surely you understand you can't hurt someone who doesn't have a soul.
  • It's All About Me:
    • Morgan, in spades.
    • Robert finds Morgan's secret room behind a bookcase by picking out a book on the Merlin legends.
Robert: Of course, a book all about her. Classic narcissism 101.
  • The Mole: Bodhi is one for the coven.
  • Spared, but Not Forgiven: "Just because you're still alive, doesn't mean I still don't hate you."
  • Wham Shot: Just as Nico is about to cast a spell to enter the Dark Dimension, Cloak & Dagger show up, demanding to know what she's done.
  • What Did I Do Last Night?: Nico wakes up on the floor, with coven members asleep all around her. She asks one of them, "Did you roofie me?"
