Go To

In the aftermath of the battle against Jonah, Karolina searches for answers about Jonah and the others help Alex and Livvie try to prove Darius's innocence in Destiny's murder. But Livvie's curiosity just might catch up with her.

  • And There Was Much Rejoicing: All of PRIDE are naturally very happy with Jonah being dead and eager to pull Screw This, I'm Outta Here because they can't stand their teammates.
  • Chekhov's Gun: When Jonah's preacher host is dying, he tells the surgeon that there will be a struggle at first, he'll lose time, forget things, eventually disappear. These things happening to various characters as well as acting wildly out of character are subtle hints that they've been possessed by Jonah and his family.
  • Easily Forgiven: Discussed. Chase entertains the thought of just going back to his parents, now that Jonah is dead, but Alex states that they are still murderers.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Geoffrey is once again really pissed about Catherine's actions.
  • Flashback: In the beginning, showing "Jonah" during the 1930s with another host, meeting Jonah (his host body) in the 1950s and then meeting Leslie's dad in the 1970s.
  • Gone Horribly Right: It sinks in to Leslie that she's done such a terrific job over the last few decades to build up the church that just going ahead and shutting it down while telling the congregation it was all a lie simply is not going to work.
  • Internal Reveal:
    • Frank tells Leslie about having killed Destiny's brother.
    • Alex learns that his mother had Darius killed, not his father.
  • Person as Verb: Gert uses "Nixon" to refer to erasing a recording.
  • Pet the Dog: Geoffrey gives Tamar some money to help her get over her grief.
  • The Missus and the Ex: Alex's ex-girlfriend Nico meets his current girlfriend Livvie, and the latter is shocked she and Alex used to date.
  • The Reveal: "Jonah" was just one of many hosts of the nameless alien.
  • The Starscream: Frank, unable to accept that Leslie is shutting down the church, manipulates Frances and Aura into acting against her by making it look like she killed Destiny's brother.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Chase is once again angry about Gert keeping something from him, this time applying for college (meaning likely moving away). So much that he later puts her application in a chocolate fountain.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Catherine puts a hit on Livvie after she comes close to uncovering the true circumstances behind Darius' death. She also doesn't seem to mind that she endangered Darius' baby son Xerxes.
  • You Shall Not Pass!: Molly stays behind to help the others escape from the hotel staff.
