"Adventure Squad" provides examples of:

  • Badass in Distress: When the babies pretend to be the Adventure Squad, they imagine that Reptar is being held prisoner by Robosnail.
  • Incredible Shrinking Man: Or rather, woman. Carrie's superpower is shrinking to the size of a grapefruit. Kimi takes on her role when she and the other babies pretend to be the Adventure Squad.
  • Odd Name Out: The five members of the Adventure Squad are named Sherry, Carrie, Mary, Gary, and Bob.
  • Show Within a Show: The titular Adventure Squad is a TV show about a team of five superheroes.
  • Super-Strength: Gary's superpower is having the strength of two really strong men. Phil takes on his role when the babies pretend to be the Adventure Squad.
  • Superhero Episode: In this episode, the babies pretend to be the Adventure Squad, who are a group of mountaineers with different superpowers (except Bob, who just drives the van).
  • What Kind of Lame Power Is Heart, Anyway?: Defied; Tommy's superpower is the ability to talk to pants, having misinterpreted Sherry's superpower of being able to talk to plants. Tommy has no particular disdain over this power despite how useless it is.
  • You, Get Me Coffee: Bob has no superpower, so he's the one who drives the Adventure Squad's van. Chuckie takes on his role when the babies pretend to be the Adventure Squad.

  • Honesty Aesop: Chuckie accidentally breaks Kimi's roller coaster toy and is afraid to tell her because he doesn't want to hurt her feelings. When he confesses this to Tommy, he asks him what he should do. Tommy tells him that he should tell Kimi the truth, to which Chuckie tells him he was afraid he was going to say that. When Chuckie confesses what he did to Angelica, Kimi is distraught at first, but when she finds Tommy, Phil, and Lil playing with the pieces, she's happy that her friends can all have a piece to play with.
  • Laborious Laces: Chuckie trips over his untied shoelaces, which results in him accidentally falling on Kimi's roller coaster toy and breaking it.
