ROSA’S PLAYLIST – After uncovering some unsettling information about Max, Liz runs a series of tests to see what his powers may be capable of. Michael and Isobel take matters into their own hands after learning that Liz may be getting too close to Max. Liz enlists Maria's help as she goes on a scavenger hunt across Roswell to uncover more about Rosa's final days.

- Anguished Declaration of Love: Max gives one to Liz. After she confronts him regarding the last memory he had of Rosa alive and the love letter that was found among her stuff, Max is distraught and confesses that he has been in love with Liz for years, pining after her and that he never laid a hand on Rosa or any of Liz' loved ones because he knows how important they are to her.
- Love-Obstructing Parents: Alex's dad makes no secret of how much he disapproves of his son being close to Michael Guerin. Part of it stems from his homophobia, but he also makes a dig regarding the difference of status and their place in the community of Roswell, implying that Alex would lose the approval of the town if he keeps close to Michael.
- On the Rebound: Though they weren't officially in a relationship, Max was really hurt after Liz rejected him and decided he wanted to try and move on from her, going on a date with fellow deputy, Cameron, with whom he had a friends with benefits agreement. It doesn't go that well, unfortunately.
- Telepathy: Isobel tries to get Liz to leave Roswell, probing into her mind to insert the idea that she needs to get out of town as soon as possible. However, things don't work out well because Isobel kept seeing Rosa in place of Liz, which greatly disturbed her.
- Trail Of Breadcrumbs: Rosa's playlist. Each song title was a hint of a place that she used to frequent and in each of those places there were hidden spots marked by a symbol she carved/painted that contained stuff she wanted to stash away. Liz and Maria spend the episode going through each spot in hopes of finding more clues that will help them understand what happened that last night of Rosa's life.
