Tropes for this episode include:

  • Adaptation Personality Change: In the manga, Issa believed whole-heartedly that humans and monsters could live in harmony and he genuinely liked Tsukune and approved of him being with his daughter. Here, Kokoa flat-out saying that he hates humans. He calls Tsukune "filthy/worthless human scum" for trespassing in his castle, holding a grudge for making Moka's childhood as hard as it was and somehow knew point-for-point how Moka and Tsukune met. Even when he relents, he only does it because Moka asked him to and not for Tsukune's sake.note
  • The Adventure Continues: With Outer!Moka restored, they all head back to Yokai Academy. Kokoa proclaims that she has another plot to get rid of Outer!Moka in the future. After a spanking from her father, Kokoa procures Lilith's mirror and tries that scheme again.
  • The Cavalry: Mizore and Yukari's family stops Mizore's parents and the other Snow Women and Kurumu fends off her mother while giving him a lift of the other side of the castle's ravine.
  • Compressed Adaptation: The episode having aired ahead of the many arcs (and eventual official ending) of the manga, a lot of the plot points in the series that have not been given an explanation yet in the manga are given one here to wrap up the series.
    • When Mizore proclaims that she plans on winning Tsukune's affection fair and square and won't force him to marry her, her mother retorts that it is more for the sake of their race's survival. While this is never elaborated in the episode, in the manga this is fleshed out as the Yuki-onna being a Dying Race, making her winning Tsukune a cultural obligation.
    • In the manga, Moka's mother was one of the Dark Lords and she gave her daughter the rosary to suppress her Shuzen Blood, Outer!Moka being a replica of her personality. Here, it is her father who is the Dark Lord and he made her the rosary so that she would be more docile and thus would blend in with humanity better.
    • We never meet Moka and Kokoa's two other sisters.
    • Tsukune never turns into a ghoul or a vampire, having only manifested the vampire blood Moka injected into him in his Heroic Second Wind against Issa.
    • ANTI-THESIS, Fairy Tail and Alucard don't exist in this version, so the series ends with The Masquerade separating humans and monsters being upheld.
  • Dance Party Ending: Various characters throughout the series - major and minor - are found dancing to the opening theme in the gymnasium during the end credits.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Kokoa has been a Yandere full of nothing but Pride, anger and an obsessive fixation on Moka throughout the whole series, but she genuinely starts to believe that he has genuine feelings for Moka when Tsukune decides to face Issa without hesitation. As she hears Issa thrash him about, she suddenly goes to the door to keep her father from killing him before Moka stops her.
  • The Reveal: The same Dark Lord that created Moka's rosary and the great barrier that surrounds Yokai Academy is Moka's father!
  • Willfully Weak: According to Moka, if Issa was serious about killing Tsukune, Tsukune would not have survived the first blow.
