BPD engages in a "Week of Health" that prohibits them from coffee, a fact that no one is happy about except Maura and Angela. Meanwhile, one of Frost's old cases is brought up when a similar victim is found years after the case was supposedly closed.

Tropes in the Episode

  • Chekhov's Gun: Two this episode.
    • A check that is given to Frost by the killer becomes significant The killer gives a similar check to one of his victims This allows Frost and Rizzoli to confront the killer and arrest them.
    • Also, the first victim only writes on a typewriter, the ribbon allows the team to see the last page of his manuscript before he died.
  • Diet Episode: Jane is ordered to manage an employee physical fitness plan during health cleanse week.
  • It Tastes Like Feet: Frankie complains that a health drink tastes like "Sweat and rotten celery". Frost tells him to stop drinking it, and that he also should stop drinking his own sweat.
  • Shout-Out: The name of the episode is a reference to the song of the same name from Eminem and Rihanna
  • Steampunk: The victim is a a Steampunk enthusiast, his studio has steampunk elements and the books of Jules Verne are name checked as being on his library shelf.
  • Working the Same Case: Turns out the case of the week, and the two-year old cold case that Frost is investigating separately, are connected.
