Annoying Younger Sibling: Donnie’s subplot focuses on him being annoyed with Mikey constantly taking things from Donnie. They patch things up once Mikey understands Donnie’s frustration towards him.
Broken Pedestal: Raph admires Ghostbear until he learns the fact that the latter is really a cheater.
Jerkass Ball: When Leo becomes the new champion, he acts pretty arrogantly and is especially mean to Raph. This, combined with him being a huge fan of Ghost Bear, leads to Raph challenging Leo to a fight.
Pain to the Ass: While fighting Ghost Bear, he receives a hard smack on the butt, causing him to yowl in pain.
Minotaur Maze
Bait-and-Switch Comment: When Leo admits he’s having trouble creating a portal, it’s set up like Raph is going to give his brother a motivational speech. Then it suddenly shifts tones as Raph threatens to haunt Leo if he dies because of Leo.
It's All About Me: Leo’s entire motivation for bringing his brothers into a dangerous maze without telling them not to use their mystic weapons is because he wanted to have his picture taken and put on the wall with the champions.
No Fair Cheating: When Leonardo uses a mystic portal to save his brothers from being crushed in a trap, he's branded a cheater and his and his brothers’ picture is posted on the "Wall of Cheaters."
Reverse Psychology: Leo manages to get the owner to feed him and his brothers some of her pizza by claiming that they’ve had some “world famous pizza” somewhere else.
Take Me Instead: Leo is willing to be punished instead of letting his brothers suffer for his actions. They actively agree with him since he almost got them killed in the maze.
What the Hell, Hero?: Leo’s brothers are not happy with him when they learned he got them to participate in a dangerous game so that his picture could be taken and put on the wall of champions.
