Tropes

  • Bring My Brown Pants:
    • Geoff declares he got goosebumps from beholding Dracula's castle, which Brody one-ups by admitting he nearly took a "goosedump".
    • Jay and Mickey are happy upon completing the horror-themed challenge and realizing that there was no werewolf after all. The only downside is that terror took control of Jay's bladder, but he resolves to tell people he spilled water.
  • Celebrity Resemblance: Of the historical figure variety. As the Goths admire the paintings in the castle, one of the portraits of Vlad the Impaler bears an uncanny resemblance to Ennui.
  • A Death in the Limelight: The Fashion Bloggers receive more focus on this episode, and they are eliminated in the end.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Tom and Jen reconcile by the end of the episode and their friendship grows even stronger. Tom also manages to make fez hats popular with Don. Keep in mind that the Fashion Bloggers appeared to be one of the teams he was the most annoyed by so far.
  • Feud Episode: A feud erupts between Tom and Jen in this episode as they have a bicker spat over the ownership of their fashion blog after a conversation with Carrie about it. They continue to bicker throughout the Transylvania leg but they eventually reconcile. Unfortunately, the feud causes them to get eliminated in the end.
  • Gendered Insult: When Ryan struggles with his "Botch or Watch", Stephanie berates him by saying that "12-year-old girls win gold medals at the Olympics".
  • Groin Attack: Don is a victim of this, courtesy of a Romanian local.
  • I Broke a Nail: Jen complains about three broken nails after Tom throws her coffin inside the grave.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: Bela Karaoke is a parody of Romanian coach Béla Károlyi.
  • Not So Stoic: The Goths, despite not showing it, were excited to be in Transylvania.
  • Our Werewolves Are Different: Jay and Mickey are worried that a werewolf might be on the loose on the castle grounds. They're thrilled to not encounter one at all, but as they leave, the silhouette of one pops up behind them.
  • Pet the Dog: When he announces the Fashion Bloggers are eliminated, Don compliments their new fashion trend, and is even wearing one of their fezes.
  • Plot Hole: The rules of the first challenge specified that the person holding the first Travel Tip must be the one to carry their partner inside the coffin. Junior carries Dwayne and it's implied that Kitty carried Emma as the latter's shown getting out of the grave even though Dwayne and Emma were the ones to be holding the first Travel Tips. Despite this, neither of the teams are penalized. Although, knowing their behaviors at this point in the season, they may have grabbed them from Kitty and Junior before they could read them.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is a play on the nursery rhyme "A-Tisket, A-Tasket".
  • Shout-Out:
  • Skewed Priorities: The Goths have each one a turn inside the coffin during the challenge, despite them knowing it is against the rules. However, they are not bothered when they receive a penalty, because it was Worth It.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: A downplayed example, Carrie asking the Fashion Bloggers about who started their blog is what sparks Tom and Jen's feud.
  • Worth It: Crimson states this when getting a penalty for letting Ennui take a turn in the casket challenge.
