The Alien Tracker comes to Patience to meet with Liv when he catches sight of Harry. Realizing Max can see him too, he tries to convince him to tell him where he is.
Ben invites Mike over for dinner to help smooth things over with Kate.
Tropes
- Artistic License – Pharmacology: D'Arcy's painkiller addiction shows symptoms more consistent with a stimulant. Opioids in particular tend to present more as somnolence and central nervous system depression.
- Bait-and-Switch: It looks like Max is betraying Harry to Peter when he calls his number, only for it to turn out he was luring him into a trap for Harry.
- Comically Missingthe Point: Mike mentions whore house furniture in front of Max, then realizes he likely doesn't know what a whore is, which Kate angrily confirms. Mike then explains what a whore is.
- Everyone Has Standards: Mike can take the conversation to some pretty inappropriate places but even he is shocked at how quickly Kate can change gears once Max leaves the room.
- Gaslighting: While Peter has a right to be mad and distrustful of Harry, he is clearly leaving facts out of his encounter with him while trying to convince Max to help him. Ironically, if he had told him he only wanted the implant Max may have figured out Harry needed it for his doomsday device.
- The Hunter Becomes the Hunted: Peter hunts Harry throughout the episode. He manages to find out where he lives, only for Harry to hunt him instead, luring him into a trap.
- Not Helping Your Case: While promoting the resort idea to Kate, Mike talks about how rat infestations are a sign of a successful city.
- Oh, Crap!: Peter talks a big game but you can see the horror on his face when he sees Harry's true form.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: As the dinner conversation becomes increasingly hostile, Max decides to eat dinner in his room.
- Shout-Out:
- Once Max leaves the room, Kate goes on a tangent, suggesting one of the outcomes for the new resort would be some wealthy guy coming to town and taking over, offering one million dollars for a night with her, which she talks him up to five for the weekend because he's also hot.
- At one point, Max wanted Harry to get in the basket of his bicycle like in ET The Extraterrestrial. Harry pointed out he is much larger than the sexy ET and wouldn't fit.
