After the events of Space Escape, the Park crew manage to get out away from Anti-Pop's forces but now find themselves on their own and utterly confused of what happened. As they get themselves together, Skips finds that his bed was destroyed in the escape prompting the others to go buy some new ones. They make their way to a furniture store but soon find out that they're being followed by a bounty hunter after Pops.


Tropes:

  • Brick Joke: From Space Escape, Chance's effort in trying to shoot one of Anti-Pop's guards ends up with the blast ricocheting from the Space Tree, into the crew's Park Dome and into Skip's room which fried his bed.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The seat display the crew see when they arrive at the store. They end up using it to defeat the bounty hunter.
  • The Chosen One: Pops is revealed to be one. Of what isn't revealed yet, but it has something to do with Anti-Pops.
  • Deus ex Machina:
    • Glomb, a living cabinet, which the crew fortunately meet when they're nearly cornered in a big furniture section of the store.
    • The mascot/manager the crew meet at the start. He ends up distracting the bounty hunter giving the crew time enough to escape.
  • Jerkass: The bounty hunter. When an employee informs her she has to bus her tray at the store's cafe. She freezes him instantly. Later when the employee complains to his manager about it. She does it again to both of them.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: The bounty hunter is defeated by being locked in a display case, wield shut by her own ice gun.
  • I Ate WHAT?!: While exploring the store, the crew stop for lunch at the store's cafe and try their meatball subs. Though when Eileen wonders what the meatballs are made of especially when she questions the question mark symbol on the sign. One of Eileen's meatballs drops from her subs, suddenly sprouts legs and walks off to her horror and disgust.
  • La RĂ©sistance: Turns out there's a resistance that is identified by the mark of Pops head. The crew end up meeting one in the store, a living cabinet, that aids in their escape.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: When cornered at the store's entrance, the park crew offer to try and stop the bounty hunter so Pops can run. He proclaims if they're going to fight, so will he and uses the beds to ram into the bounty hunter.
  • Near-Villain Victory: The bounty hunter would have succeeded in capturing our heroes had the store employees not intervened about the aforementioned complaint.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The store being a parody of Ikea.
      • The Greeter of said store resemble Big Bird.
    • When exploring the furniture, Mordecai and Rigby find a couch with piano keys on it and dance on it.
    • When Glomb allows the others to escape and Pops thanks him, he responds with "Fly! You Fool".
  • Wham Episode: We find out Pops is a chosen one of something and that there are people around the galaxy that will aid him.
