Mordecai and Rigby have been given the day off from training, and thus venture into a ramshackle part of the Tree Station and into a curio shop where Rigby finds a living and floating brain in the back. However it turns out to be evil and tricks Rigby into freeing it, forcing Mordecai and him to stop it before it steals their Park Dome ship.

- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: It's been awhile since it's happened, but this is the first in the season where something is Rigby's fault and a mess both he and Mordecai have to clean up.
- Race Against the Clock: Rawls gives the duo ten minutes to defeat the brain and retrieve their park dome, otherwise he'll blow it up to keep the brain from escaping.
- Shout-Out: The chess game is one toward the battle of wits between Westley and Vizzini from The Princess Bride. Doubles as an Actor Allusion as well since the brain is voiced by Wallace Shawn.
- One-One from Infinity Train makes an appearance on a shelf.
- Smart People Play Chess: The Brain naturally loves a game of chess and Keith, the one who captured him the first time, stated that's how he managed to do it, but likewise mentions the brain has gotten smarter since then. Regardless, the duo challenge the brain to a game and end up losing handily. But that turns out to have been a distraction so Mordecai can trap it in a glass bowl.
- Thrown Out the Airlock: After the duo capture the brain, Mordecai throws it out into space.
- We Will Meet Again: The Brain proclaims as such as it's thrown out into space. note
